There are many of these look out points throughout the Island. They are very well decorated with lush greenery, beautiful flowers. Everything is immaculate. You see coastal views of the ocean, far away towns and beaches.

This gazebo offers a great view to the ocean and to a rock that looks like an elephant. Another good spot for a photograph session.

About 10 km west of Rieira Grande you come across an interesting cliff formation known as "Tromba do Elefante" (Elephant's Trumpet). Viewed from this location or the Miradouro Capelas, it appears as though the creature is about to set foot into the sea, lead by its enormous trunk. It's a popular stop for a well known attraction.The coastal landscapes around Capelas are beautiful
