Definitely include this spot on your way to Raglan and / or Te Toto lookout. Pretty cool trick you can play on your brain, by looking intently at the waterfall for a few moments and then shift your gaze to the rock formations on either side of the water and the rock will appear to be 'melting'. Pretty cool. Seriously... More

Loved this place, it was my first time and it exceeded my expectations. Make sure you go to the bottom, its well worth all the stairs. Makes you realize the amount of water that is coming down that thing!

Of the many waterfalls dotted around NZ this is one of the better ones. Spectacular views from the top of the waterfall, middle and bottom. Quick and easy walk from the carpark.

The water fall and the viewing platforms are picturesque, but we only spent about 30 minutes around. Adding a visit to the falls is a great idea when you're already in the area, but I wouldn't visit Raglan just for the falls.

Short walk to the top of the waterfall and lots of stairs to get to the bottom. It's well worth the stairs involved for that view of the stunning waterfall!

Wow. Just, wow! Worth every single one of the 261 steps to see this. On a sunny day you can see the rainbow in the spray! Breath taking.

This is s must do to see this spectacular waterfall! Nice hike to see the different views. Once at the bottom great for photos and a read up on the 50 feet water fall. Very lush surroundings. Great for any age. Nature is beautiful!

We enjoyed our walk out to Bridal Veil falls. The journey to the top is a pretty easy, flat and short walk. An impressive falls, and some pretty native bush. There are good outlooks from a variety of perspectives, if you have the fitness required to tackle the return journey involving steep and numerous stairs from the top to the... More

I have visited Bridal Veil Falls several times over 3 decades. This was the first time, however, that I noticed the basalt rock pattern [c.f. Giant's Causeway] on the cliff-side. This time many improvements to the visitor facilities were apparent. Although the toilet was simply a long-drop, the information signage and lookout points were new and there is even a... More
