A great way to spend an evening!
We viewed Saturn through a massive telescope (looked like a canon that someone could get shot out of), and also viewed many special stars, clusters, etc. through the telescopes and specialized binoculars.
As someone who knows virtually nothing about astronomy, I can honestly say that I learned a ton from this visit. John explained things so well, in plain language (not techie-talk), and also pointed out many constellations that we viewed with the naked eye.
Bug spray, long sleeves and pants (and a hat with a bug net, if you have one) are highly recommended, as the visit takes place after dark, outside, when the mosquitos are in full force.
The host is EXCELLENT, a great teacher who is clearly passionate about astronomy.
Definitely worth a visit!!

What a little gem of a place to visit while at the cottage. Our little budding astronomer sure has enjoyed a few visits here. Wear protective clothing when you go because it's a mosquito's smorgasbord!
