Great hike, some ups and down parts but nothing you can't handle. Takes about 40 minutes to walk to. It's a beautiful spot, but can get busy so plan to go in the morning :)

Easy easy 1.5 km unless u want to climb down to water level. Expect crowds but sound of falls dampen noise

An interesting find
Aug. 2020
A very easy trail, that has one long, steep hill, leads to a shorter, rockier trail which then takes you to 19th century ruins beside a small and pretty waterfall. At this time, access across the bridge beside the ruins is closed but if you don't mind wet feet you can cross the creek. Swimming can be had in a shady pool below. Interesting history and an unusual place to find in the middle of the woods. There is also a beach near the parking lot. $12+ for all day parking. Free after 7pm but you probably wouldn't make it in and back before dark at that time and the beach apparently closes at 6pm. Chelsea, the village down the road, also had several inviting patios for post hike refreshments.

Easy rewarding hike

Quick and easy hike to a lovely view. There is a bit of a steep hill on the way back for those with mobility issues.

Love this trail

Nice easy walk (although some bigger hills) that has nice ruins at the end. Have to pay for parking now though because it shares a parking lot with the beach.

Well worth the visit

There is something magical about visiting a ruin such as this and imaging all the lives lived there. It is such a beautiful place set among the trees with the water falls.

A pleasant hike to get there. A wonderful, but relatively unknown, treasure of a place in Gatineau Park. As well as the old building there are waterfalls and fast moving streams. Beautiful.

Breath Taking!!
Jul. 2019
Discovered this gem of a place last year and have visited it in the winter and the spring. I also plan to visit it this fall as every season brings out a different beauty of the place. Would recommend and will definitely be back. Wear good shoes, bring water, maybe bear spray depending the time of the year. Sad that the lower parking area now charges for parking but, it would not deter me from going. It's about a 30 minute walk from where you park your car, lots of hills so, be prepared. Lots of nice stops along the way also. you can spend as much as an hour or 3 or, an entire day and swim/pic nic there.

This is a little gem in the Gatineau Hills that a friend told us about...sure glad we went...a nice 20-30 min hike through the forest trails and then you come upon the ruins and lovely waterfalls...it really is a great little spot for an afternoon adventure.

Excellent short hike but Fed govt charges $12 to park for a 1 hour hike
Jul. 2019 • Family
The short hike is interesting but forces you to park at a beach parking lot so it is not worth it at $12 for a short hike. it is time to send a message to the feds. No-one is going to pay $12 for a short hike. If they were just reasonable and created a separate lot for this hike or charged only 4 or 5 dollars to park, more people would do this hike. Hike from 7 pm to 8 pm to avoid the fee
