Spa was nice but would not recommend nor will I be returning. Ontario guests are targeted by local police in the parking lot. I received a $500 ticket in the mail for expired sticker/registration despite that the sticker program has been cancelled in Ontario. I told my friends and three of them had also been ticketed while visiting the spa. I called the spa and was told that the parking lot does not belong to the Spa and it’s not their problem. They don’t leave it on your windshield because there would be an extreme amount of pissed of clients. Hey Le Nordik! Wake up and do something - or are you getting a cut of the profits from this corrupt practice?

The spa is nice, but it is very expensive with poor customer service. I had purchased a package gift certificate for my mother late 2019. They wouldn't honour the package now saying that the price of this package has gone up by over $200 so I would have to pay the difference to get the same thing now. I understand that the gift certificate expires after a year (only worth monetary value paid after a year), but given the context of the world then and even now, you think they could make an exception. The world essentially shut down, the spa itself shut down many times and not to mention that my mother's confidence about going to a spa during a pandemic was not there. So in order to give my mother the services that I had gifted her, I had to pay the extra cash...very reluctantly! I will never go back. There are more options in the area now that are more reasonably priced.

I was fortunate to receive a gift card that covered a good chunk of the expense. While it would typically be way out of our price range it was the most amazing vacation for us (2 couples).

We booked general entry and the Kalla experience. We were told by friends that we had to pay for bath robes but this was not the case, they were provided with towels in our lockers. I loved how easy the access band is - though be careful if you have a small wrist like mine!

My favourite was the KÄLLA TREATMENT (saltwater flotation pool) in low lighting - my idea of oasis. My boyfriend really enjoyed the AUFGUSS RITUAL (a ritual of sight, scent, and feel in very hot sauna) however I found it too hot. The cold waterfalls were so refreshing although most people prefer the social pools and hot spring areas.

Lunch was delicious but incredibly expensive ($120 for 4 people no drinks) and non alcoholic Bellinis were $15 each.

Each of us fell asleep in different locations at some point - that's how relaxing it was. Can't wait to go back in different seasons and to see how it is at night.

My visiting sister and I spend a lovely mid-week day at Le Nordik as a special treat for her. It was far less busy than I have experienced in the past and all was lovely save for a few items that are worth mentioning.
Lunch was good save for when our drinks arrived and there was a very long hair in one glass. We notified the waiter who was very apologetic and replaced the drink immediately. To my surprise the drink was not deducted from the tab, which is minimum standard restaurant practice.
We both had "in Nature" massages which cost an additional fee so I was surprised to find the cabin's curtains closed, a space heater clunking and humming throughout the massage and the massage table wobbled and clanked with each movement. It was most distracting and impacted the overall experience greatly. It was not at all what was advertised and certainly not worth the elevated price, in nature or not.

My day at the spa itself was delightful. I enjoyed a nice massage, the baths and a great lunch. It was a fairly busy day in the spring but there is a lot of space.

Unfortunately the experience was ruined when I received a nearly $500 ticket in the Mail weeks later. I am from Ontario and we no longer have to renew license plate stickers - in fact, you can no longer get a sticker if you tried. The Chelsea Bylaw nonetheless ticketed me and to contest if I have to return and appear in court in person. I searched online and this is a well known problem. I don’t know how someone in Ontario is supposed to deal with it now that we don’t get new stickers!!! I am not sure how I would return if I wanted to. My advice to Ontario drivers? I guess leave your car in Ottawa somehow?

Got a 500$ ticket on my birthday in the Nordik parking lot. Disappointed that this happened and apparently it’s common. Ontario removed the sticker renewals in march and we had no idea we had “expired in our registration”. How is it expired when the dates don’t mean anything anymore? I’m extremely confused and sad that Nordik doesn’t do anything for the patrons to prevent this on private property after I spent hundreds at Nordik Spa.

Love this place, we don’t live in the area so it’s always great to spend the day when we’re here visiting family.

The saunas are great, there are lots of spots to relax and having both silent and noisy areas gives you the choice of how to spend your day.

Food and drinks were tasty as well.

Look forward to another visit next time we are in the area.

Variety of pools and saunas. Can get a bit busy which sort of taints the experience, so it's hit or miss if it's a great day or a crowded day. Nevertheless, the environment is really great and there's lots of distinct areas in the spa to explore. Food is also really good.

My friend and I went for my first time to Nordik, I was so excited to finally go. The day started out fine, we enjoyed the experience. The food and drink is highly overpriced for what you get. But we continued to enjoy our day until it was time to go and realizing after only a few hours our bathing suits were completely ruined by the chlorine. And after just having a haircut our hair was completely damaged. I had to return to my hairstylist and she could not believe the damage done to my hair. After spending so much money and notifying the company, they were completely unwilling to do anything about the fact that our relatively new bathing suits are now garbage. They claimed it was the fault of the bathing suit, being the wrong fabric and being old and they fade over time. Complete farce. You don't start with a completely good bathing suit in the morning and leave with the shoulder straps showing exactly where the water reached or with your bottoms bleached out. So beware if you go, dont expect any apologies or any sort of compensation to have to replace your swim wear. I will not be returning and will be warning my friends about the poor customer service.

I have been coming here for years (over a decade actually) and love the expansion and new sections. Today was not overly busy so was able to enjoy the Källa solo (shocker!). There are new hot tubs nestled in u expected places and sections where the more social can be more chatty and leave the rest of the spa for serenity-seekers (thats me!).

My disappointment today came with the meal experience. My go to dish (the pita and tzaki and hummus) is off the menu (new chef) so I ordered the charcuterie ($26). It used to be a nice sharing plate but I was eating lunch/dinner so I didn’t mind the extra portion. It was the size of an appetizer. I mean super small. The bread wasn’t fresh and the toppings were pretty blah. I ordered a side of cheese and got a slab the size of a piece of licorice. Of course I will be back as nothing compares to the relaxation experience here, but I would think twice about the lounge and hit the restaurant instead. I may have paid less there, actually. The (overworked) waitress was lovely and took my feedback about my favourite dish with grace - she said it’s a common request. I wonder if perhaps they were short staffed - I rarely post reviews but am wondering if others experience similar thoughts the feedback will make it’s way back to the owners.

For the newbies: For those planning to come and don’t appreciate the same need for peace and quiet, please remember that the cold plunge is cold. Very cold. If you feel the need to scream, please do your very best to be with the moment and refrain. It’s not an amusement park. There are many options for being social around Ottawa. the spa is a pricey reprieve and most of the people there prefer the sounds of the spa music and waterfalls over the conversations about your latest doctors appointment or kid’s hockey game. Please respect the signage and staff reminders to keep conversations limited or very quiet at the very least.

Many, many thanks and namaste.
