Went to do the luge yesterday. Got greeted by an english only speaking girl that said the luge is closed and should be open by end of August. Asked her if there's other activities to do. She said they are booked solid until until Tuesday. This is a place to avoid.

I was taking photos of the grandkids next to their fence when I was told I couldn't. I was to told to buy their photos. When said 'no', I going to have own photos of my grandkids, - staff call me cheap. Staff continued to harass and threaten me and my family throughout our visit. Definitely not a fun time.

Terribly understaffed on the kids aerial course
Jul. 2021
This past weekend, my two sons (6 & 8) and their friend (10) took to the children's aerial park at camp fortune. Let me just say that the staff was great. Unfortunately, no matter how great the talent, if you are understaffed, your service and experience delivery suffers.

In my experience (and I have plenty), there are typically 3-4 staff assigned to support a standard aerial course. In our case, there was only 1, with a 2nd and then 3rd staff member that stepped in to help when our guide was clearly overwhelmed.

On more than one occasion, the kids got hung up on a transition point and the delay with assistance was unacceptable. While we would certainly consider returning, my expectation would be that staffing levels improve dramatically.

Beautiful
Oct. 2020
Thank you for opening your chair lift for fall colours. It was lovely to be able to ride the chair lift and see the beautiful colours. We had never been in fall before, and we will certainly be back.

Nice runs, slow lifts and really bad cafeteria food
Jan. 2020
We ski at least one day a week at Camp Fortune as retirees. We love the proximately to our home in Ottawa and there are some really nice runs. The grooming here is done very well. The only major issue of skiing is the extremely slow lifts. The other issue is the extremely rude staff in the cafeteria along with the very horrible food. If you are lucky you may get hot food. The hot dogs are pre prepared and sitting in a slot that is lukewarm,
M. We asked how old they were and the guy said 30 minutes or so. The pizza looks like it has been sitting out on paper plates for days. There is no heat coming from where they are and anyone can touch sneeze on them. We passed on the Pizza. My husband and I both had the French fries which were at least fresh. The girls before us got the fries that were sitting there for who knows how long. Probably cold. My husband decided on a hot dog as well. It was disgusting. Cold and soggy. Don’t eat here. Next t8me we will take our own lunch for sure. Slow, unfriendly service is bad enough but the food isn’t acceptable at any level. We have skied many hills and have never experience such bad food.

Ideal Choice for Skiing/Snowboarding After Work in the Evening
Dec. 2019
Camp Fortune is a medium-sized, commercial ski/snowboard centre in the Gatineau Hills region of Québec with a vertical descent of 191 metres. Less than 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa, the 38-hectare (0.4 square kilometres) area is spread across three distinct mountainsides and features 23 kilometres of marked runs/slopes. Camp Fortune offers something for everyone! Of its 24 trails (12 are open for night skiing), approximately 30% are easy (green), 35% are intermediate (blue), and 35% are difficult (black). The longest trail is 0.4 kilometres. Camp Fortune also offers a terrain park with 20 features. Neat! Seven lifts including four quad chairs, one triple chair, and two surface lifts service the centre with a total carrying capacity of approximately 11,400 people per hour. Look for Camp Fortune in Chelsea at 300 Chemin Dunlop. Subject to weather and snow conditions, lift operations commence at 9:00 in the morning and cease at 10:00 at night. Day passes (excluding tax) are $46 for adults (18+), $35 for students (13-21), $35 for seniors (65-79), $25 for youth (7-12), $8 for children, and $8 for the young at heart (80+). Tuesdays and Saturdays after 4:00 in the afternoon, lift tickets for adults, students, seniors, and youth are 50% off. Centre amenities include two lodges, cafeterias, ski/snowboard lessons, a rental shop, lockers, child care, a boutique, and a pub. Camp Fortune has a top elevation of 198 metres and receives about 150 centimetres of snow each year. Full snowmaking capacity and excellent attention to grooming allow the centre to offer the longest ski/snowboard season in the region (mid-November through mid-April). Be sure to dress warm. Parking is free.

Really nice resort
Dec. 2019 • Couples
Friendly staff and nice runs. As an experienced skier you will probably quickly be a bit bored, but the area is really close to Ottawa.

Winter made fun
Jan. 2019
We buy a night pass every year for CF and have a blast. Great maintenance of hills, affordable prices (tickets, seasons pass, food, etc) and barely any line ups (in the evening on Skyline side). Excited for the new season to start!

Aerial Park Fun
Oct. 2019
We had such a great time that we went 2 separate times in a three week period. The first was for the Family Course, and the second was for the full Adult Course. We had children with us both times, a 7 year-old and two 11-year olds. The setting is fantastic, the autumn colours a delight, but what really stood out for us was the amazing service we received from Dan and his team. The level and quality of assistance and support was completely unexpected and very much appreciated. The individualized attention helped us through some tough obstacles and made the entire experience top notch. Camp Fortune, the courses are great but it's your stellar staff that makes this a must-do activity for active folks in Ottawa/Gatineau.
