Spent two days and two nights at the main accommodation camp in the reserve. Nice gers to sleep in and good food. The surrounding nature is the main reason to come here though, and there are different activities to do during the days (for additional fees). We hiked the surroundings, paddled rubber boat on the nearby river, rode horses, fished,... More

Am reluctant to write this, but sadly doubt I will ever be able to return, it has not become too touristy, the food is excellent, and the location very special. If you are like me and happy to share your ger with the local harmless insects you will enjoy the ger. The bed is quite hard but very clean. The... More

You are hit by its expanse, its tranquil expanse, stretching as far as the eyes can see. BREATHTAKING! No, ASTOUNDING! No, SPECTACULAR! No, HEAVENLY! I can't decide but the sight of the reserve made me teary-eyed. Not because of the fields of wild onions. Not because I didn't know where to point my eyes. Gun-Galuut's beauty was indescribable! All I... More

Staff incredibly helpful-really lovely to just be able to go out walking along the roads. Lots of birds and tried hard to find the sheep with no luck. Lovely accommodation and really enjoyable

This small park is absolutely a must-go, a must-do ! It is true Mongolia in a nutshell. The scenery is amazing, stunning, touching, quiet and poetic. I will never forget that place even 10 years after my visit. And if you are looking for a place to stay Steppe Nomads ger camp is an obvious choice. Go, go, go for... More

The park is a bit over 2 hours out of UB. Stayed at the Steppe Nomads camp (nice ger with power supply in ger to recharge batteries + food was good - although westernised). The river is beside the camp which can arrange fishing, kayaking, rafting (or in some places just go for a paddle/swim). The camp can also arrange... More

Steppe Nomads Ger Camp is where we stayed. There is a river close by; some people go fishing. Took horse ride into the reserve a ways. Yaks, goats, horses - all owned by herders, stare at us. Hiked up the road and over the hill to see miles of green grassland, rolling hills. Lots of birds, and other wildlife. Silent... More

Small area but the views were wonderful, You can hike anywhere because of the wide open steppe. Steppe Nomads was a great place to stay, Professional, friendly, english speaking facilitator. The food was great. ther gers are comfortable with comfortable beds. It is so silent that you can hear birds fly. I went horseback riding and the young woman was... More

we stayed at the steppe nomad ger camp in gun galuut and it was very good. the location is stunning - right on the river, and e in sept when they had a nomad festival which was lots of fun. my only criticisms are: 1) the bathrooms could be cleaner and 2) the food was average not great.
