Kyla and her staff obviously love and take excellent care of the horses. We went on a two hour ride that took us through woods, across fields and up to some spectacular vistas. Kyla is a very knowledgeable and safety conscious owner. She shared a wealth of information about the local flora and fauna as well as history about Manitoulin Island, which she has lived in all her life. It was a pleasurable and exciting trail ride.

I have taken my twins riding here, the staff and people could not have been more accomodating as it was a first for my boys, the first ride we went on was in 2012 first time ever on horse back and we went on the hour ride, the twins were over the top! Second trip was with two friends from Cambridge, ON, first time horse back riding for them, we all decided to do the 2 hour rida and again another exciting and wonderful experience for all four boys, this year we are we are going again as all four boys are over the top excited and can not wait, we are going to try the over night ride, it is and will be the best experience ever for everyone !!

As not very experienced riders from Holland, Kyla gave us a wonderfull experience. She explained very clearly what she expected us to do, gave tips to become a better rider, kept a sharp look upon safety and gave us enough challenges to make this a very memorable ride. We went for the two hours ride. Beautifull scenery en lookouts en just long enough to prevent a sore bottom.

I have been on many horseback rides and by far this was the most disappointing experience had here. Kyla the owner took us on the ride and was rude and unpleasant. I wasn't able to enjoy the scenery because of her. She wouldn't allow any type of freedom. It was over priced and couldn't imagine ever doing this again at her stable.

My sincerest apologies that you were not happy with your ride. At HBRS our goal is safe and fun riding, and therefore larger amounts of freedom on the horse and trails is restricted, for the safety of horses, riders and insurance purposes. My goal is to share the wonderful feeling of riding with customers and occasionally I can become frustrated, so I apologize for any rudeness that you received.

A stable that truly loves their horses. Kyla is very accomodating, she has been very excepting of my special needs son, where other stables flat out would not take him on. hats off to Kyla and her staff! There is a horse to match every riders needs.

Kyla Jansen is an high energy fun cowgirl who shares her love of horses and entertains her patrons in good country fashion. Safety First does not impede the entertainment factor there.

I have been on a couple of trail rides with friends here, and i know tons of people who have done riding camps, lessons, and trail rides here. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and the horses are extremely well trained. I have been to tons of stables, and not many have been as good as this ( i'm an avid rider) I would definatley go back any time i had the chance.
I can't express how pleased I am with this buisness. Best place to ride or do anything on the entire island.

A great place to take the family for a ride through the Manitoulin Island woods and hills (with an amazing view), just make sure you call ahead for a reservation. The staff was friendly, warm and welcoming and the seasoned horses were extremely calm and well behaved, everything was explained to make sure even the newest of riders felt comfortable before heading out and your ride is accompanied to ensure that all is safe, and the horses are for the most part on autopilot so being on the reins isn't necessary... the staff even chatted with you during the ride to add to the comfort and offered instruction if necessary. We'll definitely will be back again in the very near future as we had a great time and enjoyed the views... specially of the Cup and Saucer.

We had such a great time with Kyla and Destiny at HBRS. They were able to accommodate our girls to have pony rides and experiences. They were very patient and made it a very memorable experience for the kids. Well work the money...thanks to everyone there.

A great way to see the beauty of Manitoulin Island. Safety is top priority and the horses are well cared for. If you have ridden before, I recommend the overnight ride (there are plenty of shorter trail options too). I am from Colorado and had never been to Ontario before, and am so glad I have this memory. Dinner, breakfast and snacks were provided. You can ride the horses bareback to the lake to get water, with the sounds of sandhill cranes and loons around the lake. Best stargazing, too. I had a lot of fun and it was very relaxing!
