I’d looked up the location before but had never stopped in before. This time on the way to the Cup and Saucer trail I decided to make a detour. I’d previously been to Bridal Veil, which is fantastic, and hoped it would be similar. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite as interesting. The “path” begins at the end of a dirt road and extends maybe 100 metres to the gorge. The gorge is fairly inaccessible and the observable path others have taken is quite steep and jagged. I would urge folks just to go to Bridal Veil instead of High Falls. Despite the name, it isn’t really higher than Bridal Veil, nor is it very much of a ‘falls’ more of a single trickle. Perhaps with more rainfall it’d be a bit more impressive.

I honestly thought it would be higher, but a nice stop on our journey. Mind the potholes! The overhang is cool but terrifying at the same time.

Absolutely a beautiful waterfall, but that is all there is. Just a quick drive off highway 6. Takes only a couple minutes to enjoy the waterfall, take a picture, then be on your way. If you're driving by, definitely stop to see, but if you're not going to be in the area, don't make the drive.
