    Cool hidden gem
I was lucky enough to get recommended to check out the Screaming Heads by a family member from Ontario. It is such an odd, but memorable experience to walk around a bunch of giant screaming head sculptures. There’s also a field filled with daises by the front entrance that just adds to the lovely atmosphere. I unfortunately had to leave right away, but I absolutely loved my time here and I think anyone in the area should definitely check it out!

    Refreshing walk
My date suggested visiting this sculpture area and I have to admit I was curious to see just how big these were. The walk was beautiful through the forest and even around a pond. I enjoyed touching these very large sculptures and even listened to the owner or care taker not sure who he was, but he was talking to other tourist while we sat on a nearby bench enjoying a much deserved snack. He was explaining how it came about and the vendors during the summer months that set up and sell their products. Each vendor has a little bunkie to setup in. I bought my son a tshirt and he was so intrigued he is bringing his friends to visit the site this summer.

    Eerie & Magical
I’ve been to the screaming heads a total of 4 times and every time the experience feels both eerie and magical! With tons of large cement heads to see, peacocks, and a medieval looking castle, you’ll be roaming the grounds for awhile. Its a free experience but donations are welcome and I recommend it. Overall really glad I checked them out!

Very unique and lots of fun.
This was a very unique place! The sculptures are constructed with reinforced concrete and are really cool looking. There are many great photo ops. The only drawback was that there is no signage so you have to follow a path that is not well marked but since the sculptures are so large, you can see them in the distance and work your way over.

This is an interesting place that is worth a stop if you are nearby or want a day trip. The exact address is 981 Midlothian rd. It isn't marked very well so we didn't find it right away. When you drive in there is a huge parking lot and only about 5 huge screaming heads . We asked at the information booth about the place and luckily we did because there are 2 pathways that you walk and then you see many many huge cement heads. Kind of cool

We didn't have teens but we did have family members. What a great experience. It was our first time going, what amazing art and to share with everyone. The youngest was 8 and the eldest was 71, we all enjoyed our visit and would encourage everyone to take it all in.

This place was AWESOME!! We thought it was a small place with some “screaming heads”, but it is a large area with different types of sculptures. It is wonderfully mysterious! Definitely a place to visit.

This place was weird AND wonderful. Private residence that the artist has created for the curious to appreciate his sculptures and metal art. We got in lots of steps and appreciate the opportunity to walk around and take some really cool photos.

A really fun place to spend some time wandering around. Interesting sculptures and other mixed media art. The shops weren’t open when we were there. It’s free but you can donate if you wish.

Please know this is a private residence owned by one man. Peter Camani.

Guests are welcome to walk his property and explore his land. It’s always closed to the public the second/third weekend in September for a festival and once the snow falls. He does not advertise his home as an attraction. All advertisements and anything on line is created by guests. Guests are welcome to walk around and explore the art installation he has been creating on his property for the last 40 years from dawn till dusk each day. There is no over night camping. And no Halloween events.
Peter Camani was our local high school art teacher for 30 years before he retired.

On crazy hot days it’s not recommended for young children and older adults to walk around through the fields as they can overheat.

Bring your own water and please take everything you bring in with you (including dog waste) out with you.

He has created a magical land to explore.
The information booth run by volunteers will answer any questions they can for you.
