This place was AWESOME!! We thought it was a small place with some “screaming heads”, but it is a large area with different types of sculptures. It is wonderfully mysterious! Definitely a place to visit.

This place was weird AND wonderful. Private residence that the artist has created for the curious to appreciate his sculptures and metal art. We got in lots of steps and appreciate the opportunity to walk around and take some really cool photos.

A really fun place to spend some time wandering around. Interesting sculptures and other mixed media art. The shops weren’t open when we were there. It’s free but you can donate if you wish.

Please know this is a private residence owned by one man. Peter Camani.
Guests are welcome to walk his property and explore his land. It’s always closed to the public the second/third weekend in September for a festival and once the snow falls. He does not advertise his home as an attraction. All advertisements and anything on line is created by guests. Guests are welcome to walk around and explore the art installation he has been creating on his property for the last 40 years from dawn till dusk each day. There is no over night camping. And no Halloween events.
Peter Camani was our local high school art teacher for 30 years before he retired.
On crazy hot days it’s not recommended for young children and older adults to walk around through the fields as they can overheat.
Bring your own water and please take everything you bring in with you (including dog waste) out with you.
He has created a magical land to explore.
The information booth run by volunteers will answer any questions they can for you.

Interesting is an understatement. We met the owner/artist... he was friendly but a bit creepy. The bugs were unbearable but was sort of expected. Art was cool if you like that kind of stuff and so is the castle. Go as a group... got some weird vibes while walking through the place. If its your cup of tea, leave a tip, you may love it.

Double checked to see if anything is posted for events because we saw that someone showed up and it was closed to public. WELL we showed up and there was a frisbee golf tournament happening.
Not cool.

Came from two hours away to see the screaming heads and couldn’t. No idea there was an event going on. Called and everything no answer. Put more on your Facebook page.

We found this to to be an interesting spiritual type of walk. Great for all ages and dog walks. Nice accomodations for parking and even Johnny of the spots for bathroom breaks. We will have to go back to view the entire property.

We have vacationed in the area for years and never heard of this place before. What a wonderful hidden gem! Reminiscent of Gaudi’s work in Barcelona …. Whimsical, odd and so many things to see!
I can’t imagine being there at the Harvest Fest Rave - the pictures look crazy and amazing!!!
Off the beaten path and well worth the drive!

Does anyone know if you can rent the cabins that are on the property? I can't seem to find info anywhere, they look pretty new.
November 5, 2021 Is Screaming Heads open or is it closed due to Covid 19 ?

When we went on Oct 10, it was open. There is a sign that says parking lot is closed due to covid but visitors parked on the roadside and walked up the path to the unlocked spider web gate and pushed it open to go thru. The castle itself is closed to visitors but one can roam freely through the lawns and open grounds where the sculptures are .Great thrill up your backbone!

Hi! Is it okay to bring a picnic lunch? We will be traveling as a family (with a toddler and preschooler) and it will take just over an hour to get there. Any help in planning would be greatly appreciated :).
