The South River Cascade is very scenic and absolutely gorgeous during the turning of the fall colours. A very quick drive or even walk out of the village.

It's a beautiful little waterfall hidden in South River. I had no idea it was even there. Once I went out to find this place I was pleasantly surprised

This place is amazing a little hard to find, it had rained a lot so the water was really rushing . I tried fishing but the water was moving really fast that day . Very scenic must see while in town

The South River falls are my favorite spot in the world. The remnants of the old the wooden dam and the 1890s gris mill tell a tale of days gone by. The best time to go is when its -30 degrees and the mist from the falls covers the trees. Also a great spot for pics and fall colours.

This is a scenic spot, a short stroll from the village business section. This is really just a collection of small rapids and chutes. The South River pours over a wide expanse of exposed bedrock, splitting into a number of narrower channels, and passing under the roads two concrete bridges. You can wander out on the bare polished bedrock between the two main channels and explore the site to a degree. You can also walk along the road for about 200 m to a short driveway on the left that leads to a parking area overlooking the river just upstream from the falls. This also provides a view of the small water level dam above the falls.
