I was shocked to see how perfectly Pirogov is preserved. The embalming is fascinating and amazing. It's a very short distance from the museum and definitely worth a visit in any kind of weather because he is indoors.

Beautiful little church / masoleum. Tiny fee to pay. Basically under the church is the embalmed body of Pirogov. On display behind a big glass window.
