I was shocked to see how perfectly Pirogov is preserved. The embalming is fascinating and amazing. It's a very short distance from the museum and definitely worth a visit in any kind of weather because he is indoors.
I don't know what I was expecting to see but this wasn't it. There is a nice tourguide greeting you at the entrance who tells you briefly about Pirogov's history (10 min. max) and then you are let into the masoleum. Like I said. Creepy....More
