This is quite the place. Tons of activities - the corn maze is great and the 'mystery maze' adds an extra bit of fun to it. The jumping pads and the pumpkin cannon were hits, as were the zip line and the tube slide. You could say the place is best for the 7-12 crowd, but the two 14 year olds we had with us had lots of fun. Great to see some animals too. Only complaint - when it's busy, IT'S BUSY. But staff everywhere and things are well laid out. Some items in need of repair/maintenance, TLC (call it what you will). Recommended.

A very different experience. We took our 6 yr and 2 yr old grandchildren here for a day outing. Some of the activities were not suitable for a 2 yr old. Lots to do to they didn't want to go home

WE celebrated a family anniversary at the Kraay Family Farm and found the staff to be extremely helpful and accommodating. They provided us with more than we asked for, and we all had a wonderful time filled with so many fun activities.

This place is good in many respects. There is a lot to do, and the changes made in the past few years, with the addition of extra activities, is great. However, it is expensive. What bothers me is the fact that they have no family rate. No rate for kids under 5 or for teens. This makes the cost honestly untenable for many. However, it is what it is. But then they tell you that it is cheaper to buy tickets online. Ok - this is fine. However, they then charge another processing fee to download tickets. This is ridiculous.
They obviously have a right to make a profit, but no family rates, charging for processing your tickets when you are the one to do all the work (I ended up having to print them because I couldn't get them onto my phone) was just the point where I became rather convinced that this was simply another money grab.
Disappointed that there is not more sense of community support from the owners.

This place is unbelievable! My mom, daughter and I were there for 5 hours and still didn't do everything there was to do! We watched the show of the pig and duck races, which were both very interactive with the audience and the kids especially. There is 2 huge bouncy pillows (like a bouncy castle) that could hold a bunch of people. Lots of animals to feed including ducks, chickens, pigs, goats, rabbits, miniature donkey, & a miniature horse. We were brave and went in the largest part of the corn maze which was awesome! I highly recommend this for a fun family outing for the day. You will NOT be disappointed with this fun family farm!

We were staying locally with friends who suggested we spend a day with all the kids (9,7,7,5,2) at The Kraay Family Farm (a.k.a Lacombe Corn Maze). Thinking it was going to be a $50 entry for our family of four, I wasn't sure having never been there before but it was well worth the money.
Once you get a wrist band you have a full day of access to the very clean and well maintained site. It happened to be 30 Deg C on the day we visited and there was no shortages of grassy shady spots to cool off. There's picnic tables and benches all over to rest at. They have a concession on site and some young man was even selling jumbo Freezies for a $1 out of a tiny shed.
The have two large bouncing pillows (?) that were hard to get the kids off. They looked like fuel bladders you'd see for military purposes only commercially designed for people to bounce on. The corn maze is divided into three difficulty levels. All three come with riddles throughout to help you navigate our way to the exit. It was fun to see the intermediate maze also had a game inside where you collect hole punches as you find "clues" to see who kidnapped the farmer. My 7yo wasn't going to quit until she found all those signs hidden in the dead ends. We know who did it.
There are things that cost money so bring a few extra bucks with you There's farm animals to feed, feats of strength, potato cannons, pumpkin cannons, a farm "train" and an animated shooting gallery's all that cost a buck or two. They have fire pits free for use (wood $5) and BBQ's available ($10 incl propane). They also allowed outside food so we had a travel cooler full of water and snacks for the little people to cut costs.
There are warnings that it gets muddy when wet (expected since it is on a farm) and they're closed Sunday's. Overall if you're looking for a simple day of running around outdoors with the family I highly recommend this place. There were activities we didn't have time to try even after our five hour visit. The kids were so busy we missed both pig races for example and the maze can be done with (BYO) flashlights after dark. I could go on but you get the idea.
I wouldn't hesitate to return next time we're close.

We were visiting family in Red Deer and looking for something unique and fun to do in the Red Deer area. We decided (we were 3 adults 37 years old and over) to go to the Kraay Family Corn Maze. Although aimed at family with young children, we actually had a lot of fun trying to solve the Corn Maze, which this year featured a giant Terry Fox replica with of course a lot of circumvolutions to challenge the best problem solvers. It has 3 skill levels and everyone can enjoy the experience.
A lot of fun including mini-golf, corn cannon shooting, small tractors race, trampoline etc, etc. Over 40 attractions listed on their websites.
Definitely a must for families with children or young at heart adults.

What a fun and varied adventure! So much to do. It is hard to fit it all in one day. The corn maze will test your skills on different levels and give you lots of exercise. There is tractor pulling, obstacle courses, playgrounds, bouncy pillows, sunflower maze, buggy racing, pig races, kernel corn play boxes, animals to feed, lots of pinic tables to eat at, firepits, barbeques, tent covered areas, potato cannon, displays set up to take photos, outdoor games, tractor pulled train ride, outdoor toilets and a concession stand. Wow! I would not recommend taking individuals in wheelchairs as the pushing is hard. A strong caregiver could handle pushing though. I guarantee you will have a great time!
