More
Blue Mountain is an estate dedicated to producing complex wines, consistent in style and quality from year to year. Located at south end of the valley with 31 hectares of vines planted, the property supplied grapes to other wineries for 21 years before the Mavety family founded the winery in 1991. In addition to Pinot Noir, the 12,000-case yearly production consists of Gamay Noir, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and a méthode traditionnel sparkling wine, all from estate grown grapes.

The winery is beautiful ... there is no debating that. The views from the winery ... equally stunning. For me it is all about the wine and is was there that the experience fell well short of expectations. I knew there would be some wines...More

The dramatic mountain and flowing green vineyards are just so so beautiful. One really must make a trip to see this beauty. I know the wines are excellent but it was the setting and views that took our attention. Quite spectacular

We actually dropped in to say hello to an old friend who is working there but were amazed by the quality of the wines! Some terrific bubbly whites and excellent quality in general. Make sure you bring a camera for the view.

Make sure you go early in the season if you want to bring home any wines. Will sell out quickly. The Brut and the Pinot Noir are my favorites but unless you get on the mailing list, you will likely not be able to buy...More

A bit out of the way, but believe me it's worth the trouble, especially if you like good quality sparkling wines. Theirs are Champagne quality and very dry. Very good white wines as well. The service was also very good - very friendly and helpful...More

If you are visiting Liquidity Winery and Bistro, travel further along Allendale to the Blue Mountain Vineyard. Keep the faith, there really is a vineyard at the end of this country drive. You will probably be able to sample one of their famous bubblies, and...More
