My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That’s sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired. On a rather isolated hill just south of Okanagan Falls sits a family of smaller wineries all worthy of... Nice location, friendly and usually has a couple of affordable wine lines. Consider a mid level winery, and worth a stop. It is located near another winery Stag Hollow which has a nice line of better red wines. I normally stop at both on the same afternoon tour.

If you are looking for a beautiful deck restaurant to have a typical winery lunch, go to Wild Goose. Love the new chefs menus very much. Had the "Pork Wings" dish and it melted in my mouth. No large plates but very creative and superbe in quality. Great for solos, couples and smaller groups.

Annually, for the last 25 years, I do an Okanagan wine tour. Wild Goose is one of my all-time favourite wineries. Their wines really represent the flavours and aromas of the Okanagan valley. Lots of fruit notes and some floral. My favourite wine is the Gewurztraminer because of the distinct rose smell. I haven't had a pour there I haven't... More

If you are expecting fresh bbq, keep wishing. Although it was okay, it is still leftovers that they serve. Too expensive for day old or almost a week old food that has been reheated (depending on when you go there).

Hi KK, thank you for your comments. I spoke to the Chef and he explained that each restaurant has it's own techniques for preparing the dishes they serve. For the ribs at Smoke & Oak he uses two separate techniques: he brines the ribs in the Tennessee style and finishes them using the Texas Crunch technique (tin foil and spices).... More

Went for a late lunch, received a very warm welcome and had a splendid lunch. Great view from the patio. I had wild boar burger which was amazing especially because of the attention to detail by the chef to address my dietary needs. Very relaxed, nice wine tasting area, and the Pinot was lovely!!

We had lunch at the bistro and really enjoyed our meal. The two of us shared the special of the day - Mixed Grill. The waiter told us that it's big enough to share. We also ordered the corn but found it a bit too rich with the sauce.
