Monteverde Costa Rica is one of the best areas where you will have the chance to learn about the cultivation and the processes, of how an authentic coffee that was used as far back as our grandparent’s generation is made. The tour was developed in an environment that stands out as one of the best in our culture and tradition; a tradition that has made this country one of progress and peace. The tour lasts for about 2 hours and it includes typical snacks and the option of an authentic home-made lunch.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour here. Our guide, Valerie, was brilliant, informative and funny! We learnt so much about coffee production as well as sugar cane and chocolate. The tour also included opportunities to try all three products, all of which were delicious!

Brilliant tour with a super knowledgeable guide, Junior, who took us through the making of coffee, sugar and chocolate. You get to try everything. I will never buy dark roast coffee again! We also had an excellent lunch here, all the staff were great and after a coup,e if hours on in made up roads it was a very tranquil... More

This was a fantastic tour with just the right mix of audience participation, transfer of knowledge and the all important tasting! Our guide was fun and professional, making it feel like he had tailored it just for us. We also ate a traditional meal (cassada) which was tasty and filling. Believe it or not the gift shop was fairly reasonably... More

This is a great tour. Very fun, easy, informative, and best of all is that they stuff you with coffee chocolate and sugarcane juice!!! They even make a traditional Mayan chocolate drink of the gods for you to try. The tour is inexpensive and it includes transportation.

I really enjoyed this tour with a little ride in ox cart followed by processing of coffee, chocolate tour, sugar cane tour! Our tour guide was funny and let us try chocolate and coffee samples. Don Juan himself rode in our van back to town with us☕️

If you don't have a rain poncho, you can use one of theirs. Their van picked us up at our hotel, right on time. This is more than a coffee tour. It also includes sugar cane and chocolate production. Our tour guide had excellent english skills and was very personable. We learned a lot, sampled a lot, tried some hands-on... More

Good tour, nice to do on a rainy afternoon in monteverde. Not sure I would recommend traveling a long distance for it though. The coffee part was pretty informative and covered the whole process. The chocolate and sugar came felt a little more bolted on for the sake of it. We were only in a small group (4 of us)... More

A very very informative and interesting and historical tour which including the manufacture of chocolate. Our guide Alex knew his stuff and made everyone feel at home. I don't think i will look at coffee in the same way again the coffee pickers deserve every dollar they earn.

This tour of a working coffee plantation will show you how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed from tree seedlings to coffee in a cup. You may even get to visit with San Juan while there on his plantation. The guides are very knowledgeable and entertaining. A fun way to spend a few hours and learn more about coffee and... More

This was an incredible experience, as a coffee lover you cant pick a better place to learn about coffee than in Costa Rica. Our tour guide Valery was very informative and knew a lot of great information and showed us the entire coffee process from plant to final cup of coffee. She showed us both traditional ways of doing things... More
