Monteverde Costa Rica is one of the best areas where you will have the chance to learn about the cultivation and the processes, of how an authentic coffee that was used as far back as our grandparent’s generation is made. The tour was developed in an environment that stands out as one of the best in our culture and tradition; a tradition that has made this country one of progress and peace. The tour lasts for about 2 hours and it includes typical snacks and the option of an authentic home-made lunch.

Really interesting tour, with Alex included Chocolate. coffee and sugar cane. We got to try and see all the processes, which was really interesting. You got to try as you were going along too. Nice cafe to sample the coffee once we had finished, and a shop at the end too.

Kristel was entertaining and informative . I enjoyed her presentation very much. Learned a lot about coffee and chocolate . Surprised to get to see a sloth close up too as well as coffee farm. Don Juan cart ride cute for kids and some adults did too . Nice afternoon . Would recommend . Had to buy dark chocolate coffee... More

Krystle was very passionate about her job and coffee. She made the tour fun!! I loved that Don Juan himself was there! Coffee was amazing and good price.

Our family of 4 enjoyed an excellent tour at Don Juan. We found the experience enjoyable and interesting - clearly our guide is very passionate about coffee. There is a bias towards coffee, which we were aware of. However, as this is a sugar, cacao, coffee tour the sugar / cacao parts were a little too brief. It would have... More

we had such a fun time at this place. krystel is very knowledgeable and fun! the kids (12, 9, 7) really enjoyed her "quizzes" and getting to do hands on activities throughout the tour. the tastings were delicious and the information was bountiful. definitely recommend!

Enevery, the tour guide was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable about the company's products, coffee, cacao and sugarcane but also very knowledgeable about her country and all plants and animals on the property. I highly recommend this tour. Eye-opening facts we learned. So interesting.

This is a 3 in 1 tour of the Don Juan coffee, chocolate, and sugar cane plantation. I'd say that the focus is mostly on the coffee and chocolate - the sugar cane segment is brief. It was informative, fun, and tasty. This was a good, low key activity to do after traipsing around the Monteverde forests day and night.... More

We learnt everything you would want to know about harvesting and growing coffee to picking it and processing it and eventually exporting it. This plantation is owned by a private family and the tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This is also an interactive tour as they will ask for volunteers to pick the coffee and also crush it.... More

I loved the tour guide oscar, he really knew his stuff. I would have done this with my kids but for me it was just ok.. seems like the coca and sugar are just a way to attract tourists. the best part was meeting some interesting people.

This tour was not originally in our plans, and to be honest I was rather spectacle of doing a coffee tour. But it turned out to be fantastic! We met Don Juan and right at the beginning of our tour; he's an adorable older gentleman, and very friendly. Our tour guide, Jazdiel, was also fantastic. I think he really made... More
