Long story short ... I fell from a horse when I was 5 and between my parents and my fears I hadn't tried riding ever since. Sabine, her guide (apologies I don't recall his name, however a very young, professional and smart guide!) and Comanche (the patient horse who carried me around) made my day! The guide was extremely patient,... More

Booked for 2 hours and it was simply amazing. Brandon the guide was excellent , very friendly, patient and knowledgeable . I booked on what's app and it was good clear communications. The horses are well looked after for sure. The briefing at the start is very comprehensive which makes the riding easy. Within the 2 hours our confidence grew... More

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience. Our guide Brendan was patient and kind and took the time to point out animals, birds, local fruit and more. He allowed us to ride at a pace that was both comfortable and challenging. The horses were at ease and pleasant and made us feel confident. It is clear that they are well... More

Our family had such a great time on the two hour tour. Sabine's daughter, Tara and Brandon were our guides. They were so good with our kids (ages 6, 6 and 8). They picked the perfect horse for each of us and led the younger kids until they were comfortable and confident. The views of the countryside exceeded our expectations.

Amazing 3 hour horse ride to the waterfall near Monteverde. Everything about the ride was great, the guide spoke good English and the horses were very well behaved and obviously well cared for. Sabine was great at communicating through whats app to organise the ride and give me directions to walk to the stable. Three of us went out on... More

Me and my girlfriend went riding at Sabines Smiling Horses and had what I'm sure we'll remember as one of the best days ever. We were lucky enough to go on the Waterfall tour, which after an incredible 2 hour ride led us to a secluded private waterfall, that Sabine maintains (and therefore you can only visit on this tour).... We did he 3 hour ride with the walk to the waterfall in June 2016. Our guide Brandon was great! He could speak English and he took time to explain lots of things to us. He taught us so much about the bugs I felt like he was a biologist! Our horses were healthy and well behaved. The scenery was... More

My family, three of us, did the full moon ride. Brandon, our guide, was such a beautiful person - knowledgeable, excellent with horses, and so helpful and friendly to us. He was very kind and patient and let us trot and gallop as he saw that we were able to do so. At first it was cloudy, but then it... More

We take a family horseback ride wherever we travel in the world. Sabine's horses are genuinely smiling! The horses have a lovely temperament. And Brandon was a great tour guide, very friendly and instructive and relaxed. This was particularly important because it was my five year old's first real ride with the whole family. It was a lovely first experience... More
