My sister and I try to ride horses every time we go on vacation together. We're both pretty experienced riders and we're pretty picky. Sabine's more than met our expectations. Sabine and her daughter sensed we weren't particularly interested in a typical trail ride and...More

We are really pleased that you enjoyed our ride. It always makes us happy when we can give our riders great memories. Yes, our waterfall ride is a classic ride. It combines riding, hiking and seeing nature from a different perspective. Again, we are glad...More

Our group of four, from 6 to 72, all had a wonderful day riding horses in Monteverde. My husband and 6-year-old had never ridden a horse and they both were well taken care of. This trip is not your normal horse ride through the mountains....More

We rode with Sabine's Smiling Horses several times in 2012, and on a previous trip in 2009. The horses are healthy and well-maintained, which is not necessarily true of all outfits in Costa Rica. Sabine's guide Alonzo is wonderful, both with the horses and with...More

We did the half-day trip to the waterfall and had a great time! Alonzo, our guide, was patient, kind, and very informative. It helped that I have some Spanish skills, but his English was adequate for getting the idea across. We liked that there was...More

Hello. We are planning on visiting Monteverde Cloud forest on April 22 and stay overnight at Casa Batsu. I'm looking in to an option to ride in the morning of the 23rd. We are family of 4 - 2 adults and a girl 11yo with some horse riding experience and a boy 5yo with no experience. We would like to see some wild life. What would you recommend? Thank you. Anna
