typical continental aquarium, and museum, full of scary insects and stuff. Large pool with a real sea lion, reasonably priced with a free car park.

Definitely not worth the 9 Euro (Adult) entry fee. Firstly, the seal they have on display. The water is really mucky and dirty, they have two small windows to look into the tank which is pointless as you cannot see. The tank is far to small and shallow for the seal which is rather large. Secondly, the display of live... More

This is worthy of a visit. Beautiful displays which you can photograph as you go around. I didn't realise it was on trip adviser otherwise I would have completed the report last year. We bought a shell covered box that sits on a shelf at home which brings back good memories of the. euros well spent. Amelia says she would... More

Really poor, grotty and old fashioned. The aquarium section is a distraction from a collection of bizarre shell sculpture's straight from a 70's low budget movie. We didn't see the sea lion, probably more to do with the dish water it had the misfortune to swim in. An absolute disgrace, cr*p like this would be shut down in minutes in... More

This is one of the stranger aquariums i have been too. The highlights are not the fish but the shell designs and sculptures. And the pictures made out of semiprecious stones. It was very odd, but it made us smile. Our toddler enjoyed the sealion although i agree with previous reviews about the water quality

Thank you for your message. We will never have clear water because the pond is fresh water in a closed circuit and Marco relieves himself. Water is filtered 24H / 24 and partly renewed every day. It is hardly chlorinated to avoid damaging the eyes of the sea lion. In its natural habitat, the water is not transparent and it... More

To call this place an aquarium is a bit misleading. Yes it does have a number of fish in tanks, but they are a small proportion of the exhibits. The whole venue appears tired and dirty but the seal-lion tank is horrific. Green water and a very unhealthy looking sea-lion. If you're into dried insects, geological specimens and shell models... Our family had the misfortune of experiencing a rainy few days in Normandie. In an attempt to shelter from the rain, we elected to go to the Aquarium in Granville. This was an extortionate waste of money and the owners should hang their head in shame. On our arrival, we met a single sea lion which swam in the murky... More

We spent only about 1.5 hours here but all the family really enjoyed it - being a little different from just a small aquarium. It was also raining so a good place to stop while in Granville. The actual aquarium is quite small but good. There are 3 other zones. Butterflies and insects (dead and mounted not alive) which was... More

Small, but fun on a cloudy day. Aquarium was as good as any other small local ones and the butterfly and bug section made a change. The shell art was not to English taste but nevertheless had to be admired and I've never seen anything quite like it before! Also the French have a different view of animal welfare, but... More
