Recommended by friends, we visited one morning. The greeting was friendly & the exhibits fascinating. There is much to see & Evita se Perron is well worth a look.

A great insight into the history of South Africa, brought to the visitor in a way only Evita would be able to. Pay attention to the little nuances such as Winnie in the bathtub riding the gravy train. Well worth the visit and a great stop for some scones or koeksisters as you explore the West Coast.

Evita se Perron's place is a must! A great shop, Evita's garden "Boerassic Park" gives you a fabulous and humorous view to the past and modern South Africa. The restaurants have nice "no frills food" - and do not miss the super Darling Brew beer!

I am, as many other South African, a very big fan of tannie Evita. Visiting Darling without visiting Evita se Perron is like visiting Cape Town and never seeing Table mountain. It is an absolute must-visit. The little museum offers great insight into South African history and gives a glimpse into what the challenges were the artists of those days... More

It is really interesting and worth a visit. The garden is really for somebody that's to learn something I South Africa History in a humor way. South African Afrikaans people will love it, especially if you are a bit older and open minded. Then you will understand the humor.

Quite a quaint little museum and restaurant. The collection of political memorabilia throughout the vast displays is incredible. It takes you right back to the pre-apartheid years and through to the current time. A South African icon and a must-see facility. The restaurant serves good food and the service is great.

An attraction which gives some insight into the history of South Africa from the perspective of a satirical entertainer. Peter Dirk Uys reveals thinking and actions from both political systems which make you reconsider your own point of view. Lovely tearoom with local treats like 'melktert and koeksisters'. Charming place to visit if you are in the region of Darling.... More

We only had time for a quick look round, but this quirky place is well worth the visit. An amusing tour and refreshments.

A must see if you are near Darling. Very busy, but interesting decor. Beautiful old cupboards. Lekker koeksisters.

Our bus stopped here and we walked around Evita se Peron. It was very busy when we were there and we weren't able to get a table in the restaurant. Lots of interesting photo opportunities and lots to laugh about. Would love to see a show sometime.
