The zoo has an amazing array of animals and birds which you can get up close to in some of the walk through areas. The restaurant is in an excellent location where you can see animals. The food was awful and microwaved.

Lovely zoo my 8 yr old had a fantastic day even fed the giraffe and kangaroos the only thing I can complain about is the food it was very expensive and not very nice at all other than that would visit again

There is another smaller zoo called south lakes safari park on the A between cockermouth and keswick if you have sat navigation you will find it easily it's smaller and can be done in a few hours and is well worth a visit on... More

Loads of good places for camping in lakes plenty for all ages easy to get around and not far from the safari zoo
