A nice zoo with a lot of animals. It's all a bit outdated and not cheap. Fun to visit when living in the neighbourhood.

All the animals seems sad and not having a good life there. All the spaces are not well conserved, it look.like a real prison for the animals, sone then are really thin and those sad faces... just broke my heart and think why I did contribute with my money for that prison... small space for the animals, bad condition ingeneral... I took my 4-year-old daughter to this zoo and it was a nice day: the zoo is not too big and the animals look well taken care of. If you want to see all animals, I suggest you follow the tour: it takes you around so you get to see everything. There are a few playgrounds as well. You can... More

You can see the animals being very nervous, this is quite a big sign that they are unhappy. The cages/stays are a bit outdated expect for the new one were they have clearly invested is, while others would benefit more from renovation. Other from that...the zoo is easy to walk through and has loads of interaction possibilities for children.

This zoo is fantastic, every type of animal a child wants to see, even big brown bears, Pumas and cheetahs

A nice day out with family including 8 year old however the whole zoo is looking tired and neglected. The animals look well but the public areas such as picnic places and toilets look as if they had not been cleaned for a few days. The rubbish bins over flowing. The inside tropical house was nice to see some of... More

I feel sorry for the animals at Olmense Zoo. They appear to be neglected and unhappy. You can clearly see patterns on the grass in their cages, indicating that many of the animals just walk in circles. I really hope the authorities close this place down, rather sooner than later. The facilities are poorly maintained. Some places aren't accessible for... More

Visited this zoo yesterday (6th May 2015) and absolutely loved it. I've never been to a zoo with so many big cats and being a huge cat lover I thought it was great. The leopard cubs were gorgeous. It's not the most modern zoo or the most perfect but I would visit every day if I lived here. All the... More

Visited this place with the whole family (12 persons, no kids) and we were satisfied. There are a lot of "big-cats" (panters, lions, leopard, tigers). Also other big Afrika animals (elephants, giraf...) O.k., this is not THE zoo to visit animals but there is quite a lot to see.If you take your time you can spend easely about 3/4 hours in the... More
