Smaller winery which makes the experience a bit more personal and informal. My husband and I had a guide to ourselves, she was very friendly. The wines we tasted were very good. Reservations needed.

We stopped at the winery after our visit to the Portillo Ski Area. The winery tour was good. The wines are excellent.

This vineyard was part of a day trip up into the Andes. We got to see the Archaeological site on the estate where there were Inca Petroglyphs, the views from the top of the hill were worth the climb but would advise wearing sturdy shoes or walking boots. Once back at the vineyard we had lunch which consisted of 3 different wines, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon & Carmenere, all three were of excellent quality and empanadas, made locally, just beautiful sitting in the warm spring sunshine having an outdoor lunch looking over the vines and Andes Mountains as a backdrop.

The winery had a very enthusiastic guide telling us about the history of the place along with some interesting titbits. He was an interpreter by profession and he was superb. We went for the wine tasting and also got some bottles of wine for gifting and self-consumption. Highly recommended and off the beaten winery.

We were lucky enough to visit during the harvesting of the grapes so got to see everything in operations. Angelina was our guide and you could tell she loved her job. Very informative and got to see everything from the picking of the grapes to the bottling of the finished product. Got to taste three different wines and an added to plus to learn of an Archaeological park on the estate. We purchased the tickets to go and view the petroglyphs. This was just an added bonus. There were Inca as well as pre Inca Petroglyphs. After having three glasses of wine it was nice to walk in the hills looking at the Petroglyphs.

We have chosen Viña San Esteban, because we preferred a less touristical winery and we also wanted to visit
Los Andes, San Filipe and Portillo
We stayed the night over in Inca Hotelles in Los Andes, an excellent choice.
The tour was nice and interesting with a nice picknick lunch afterwards on the premises with a view on the wine yard and the Andes, great.

We had a very pleasant tour of the vineyard, cellars and wine making process with our guide Angelina. Tasted three wines, Chardonnay, Carmeniere and Cabernet Sauvignon; all from the Aconcagua Valley - very good wines.

After the tasting, we drove to Parque Arqueologico Paidenhuen, (on the property of Vina San Esteban) hiked up the hill with Angelina to see petroglyphs from pre Inca of 1200-1400 and after Inca from 1400-1500. Pre Inca designs are circular and very simple, post Inca designs have different shapes and more complicated designs.

We had such a great time touring the winery and viewing the petroglyphs with Angelina that we ran out of time for our picnic, due to both of our next appointments. If we did not have another appointment, we would have spent the rest of the afternoon at Paidenhuen to enjoy the petroglyphs and our picnic at a leisurely pace. Definitely worth visiting.

Came here with a group of about 30 soldiers. We had just finished 3 weeks of training in Chile and it was time for some relaxation.

Vina was perfect. We were given an amazing tour, in English by the way, from a very lovely women. They showed us the distillation area and the barrel ageing room. We tasted maybe 6 wines and they were not shy on portion.

We all stayed for about 3 hours and say outside drank and enjoyed the place.

This establishment has more than one staff member who speaks English, which did surprise us.They coped with us in a pleasant way while dealing with groups of Spanish speakers people who required attention. We enjoyed our tastings and purchased two bottles, which were sold at a reasonable price.

Went for a tasting - it was $25 per person for 4 wines, and you pay even if you buy. I was astounded, seemed like much to much.

Seemed like a well run family enterprise. The wines were very good. Had 2 blends, aCarminere and a Saugv Blanc.

Prices were expensive, better to find out if they export to your country where you can probably buy the wines for much less.

Chile taxes the in country wine at a very high rate, but don't tax the exports.
