We had the pleasure of being shown around Jose Ignacio by one of our friends who is a local! The lighthouse was really cool, and it gave us a really beautiful view of the beach. It cost us about $30 pesos/person if I am remembering...More

7 am is the perfect time to star a walk at the sand dunes of Jose Ignacio Beach Walk along the coast and enjoy the cold breeze during the summer time. Take a time to get into the Light House and enjoy the view from...More

This is not the caribbean so do not expect an awesome beach, but it is very beautiful and special, with lots of nature, very chic spots and places to stay. Everything is super expensive. If you go, do not miss the falafel stand in front...More

Don’t get me wrong, this place is nuts during high season and there are long waits for every restaurant, but if you time your visit around mid to late March you can snatch a deal, enjoy sumptuous accommodations, and enjoy a jet setters lifestyle....plus. The...More

I have been to many beaches around the world and loved some of them a lot (Hyams beach in Jarvis Bay, NSW, Australia, just to mention one). But the beaches around the small, elegant and fancy pueblito of José Ignacio have something special that makes...More

Lifestyle here is at the same time very simple and quite exclusive. There is a lot of beauty in nature and how it is being preserved. There is sophisticated decoration and architecture. There are beautiful people and a classy lifestyle. There is time flowing slowly...More

Nice beach for long walks, with firm and white sand. Swimming is best during the summer for the water was very cold when we visited it. Also popular for surfers. Offers the most beautiful sun rises and when it is raining, 180º rainbows.

It is a very cool place, a bit far from the excitement of Punta, La Barra y Manatiales. A beach to rest and be completely relaxed! LOVED IT! There are many exquisite restaurants in the village!

When we visited, it was off season. The beach wasn't crowded and the waves were acceptable. Not as over developed as Punta del Este. This is where I would stay if I ever came back.

The water is always cold most of the year, what makes it worst is the wind. But it is so beautiful, that is totally worth it!!!
