    Spectacular Highlight of our Trip
This beach was a favorite highlight of our Ireland trip. We were so lucky as we had gorgeous warm weather our whole trip even though we had prepared for much colder. We arrived at the Beach at 4:30 / 5 p.m. and because it was 26 degrees there were people enjoying the fabulous 5 km stretch of pristine beach but with so much room it was never crowded and many packed up to leave. We enjoyed the fabulous waves breaking for hours and played and frolicked with such fun. Loved it and so wish it was closer to home! A treasured memory!

    Fantastic!
Stopping at Inch Beach was one of our favorite stops on our family trip to Ireland!! It was so beautiful & something we hadn’t planned. Being able to stand in the ocean & take in the gorgeous view was so special. We highly recommend a stop here!!

    Fabulous and large beach
This is a very large beach and fun to visit. You can even park right on the beach despite there being nearby parking lots. The water stays shallow for a while, so a great bathing location if you do not mind the water temperature.

Truly spectacular beach. Clean sand, kids can stand up for quite a distance out. Warm water and wonderful scenery. One should be aware of the following however.

1. This beach stretches several kilometers. The only lifeguard stand is near the very beginning that we could tell.

2. Bathrooms are only at the entrance and not further down the beach, so it may end up being a long walk to use one if you arrive late.

3. There is a small car park at the top, emphasis on small. If you find a spot there is a possibility you can get blocked in by people.

4. You can park on the beach. Be mindful of the tides as they can come pretty far up the beach and you could have your car in the surf. We had to move back several times. Be careful about parking too far up in the deep dry sand as many cars got stuck. There is a farmer there with a tractor who will pull out cars for 50 euro so watch where you drive and what car you take. Fortunately many of us were able to help push out most of the stuck drivers.

The kids and whole family had a great time though and it was the best beach we have come across yet. Very safe for kids.

Every part of my experience to Inch beach was magical, from the sunny days to the windy misty ones. No two days are the same! The scenery is idyllic, the tranquillity releases all the stress of life in the city, hospitality is great. I visit at least twice a year. It’s like my second home, my favourite place to go.

Spent 3 different days in inch beach, it’s windy and loud, you can park on it with access to two surf and suit hire vendors here. The waves are great with loads of room for surfers and swimmers . Top 5 beach in Ireland

Inch beach is my favourite beach in the world. I have been visiting this beach for decades as my father was a Kerryman and our summer holidays were always spent nearby.
Inch beach is simply stunning. The beach stretches for 4 miles and it has beautiful, unspoiled scenery surrounding it. Mountains frame it and the Atlantic ocean extends to the horizon as far as you can see.
It is an ideal beach for a long walk, or a run. In fact if you enjoy parkrun you can join other enthusiasts every Saturday morning at 9:30. Then you can enjoy a coffee and a cake in Sammy's cafe at the beach entrance. If you're hungry you can enjoy a meal, and a pint of Guinness too!
Inch is not to be missed, and I recommend allowing sufficient time for a leisurely walk at least.

Lovely beach but plastic everywhere. Cars are also allowed on it. Dogs everywhere. Car park scruffy. Rotting/rusting container for surf board storage. This beach deserves better. Clear it of plastic, remove the cars, tidy up the car park area and this could be a cracker.

The beach is fairly pristine and popular throughout the day with coach tours. Danny’s has a bar and restaurant which are great and the little surf shop has plenty of souvenirs and a small amount of essentials, milk, wine and painkillers. Opposite the beach is Kitty’s food truck which is excellent and features on Facebook. The beach is accessible in your car or Campervan and high tide is clearly displayed.

I thoroughly recommend the campsite opposite by the same name, basic but brilliant. Will do separate review

Ireland has a lot of wonderful beaches. But Inch is my absolute favorite. You can surf, walk and drive your car on the beach to the top end when it is crowded. (Make sure you don't end up getting stuck in the sand.) And whatever the weather, it's worth a visit. After your walk you can have a wonderful Guinness or tea / coffee at Sammys.

I last went to Inch Beach in 1994. My then partner and I were some of the few people on the beach that day, and it felt like a real undiscovered gem. How things have changed (for the worst) in 29 years.
I took my new partner to visit the beach today, having told her what a magical, unspoilt place it was. So I was absolutely appalled to see it has been turned into a car park. The small, official carpark was full and there were at least 20 cars parked along the beach itself. My first thoughts as we pulled in and saw the chaotic scene was "this is wrong, what is being allowed here is very wrong".
Sandy beaches are valuable feeding habitat for a variety of shore birds, but with the number of people, vehicles, dogs and litter I saw there today there is little opportunity for the birds to feed undisturbed. I read on the internet this evening that boy racers are allowed to race on the beach too.
I hate to think what the sand dunes must be like, We drove away, disgusted, having spent less than 2 minutes there. I don't know much about the ecology of dune systems, but I know there are a variety of rare invertebrates that rely on them for their survival. I assume that Kerry County Council are aware of this awful commercialisation and have decided to just allow the wildlife of the beach to be sacrificed in the name of tourism.
British county councils and conservation organisations stopped beaches from being used as carparks back in the 1970's. They realised that some beaches are precious space that deserved protection from the worst excesses of the tourism industry. It appears that in 2023 Kerry Council are stuck in the dark ages and thinking only of the euros. As a result of what I saw there today I cant see me ever returning to Kerry for future holidays.

Beautiful Beach and setting. Amazing views out the bay. I didn't like the amount of vehicles allowed on the beach and driving up so far. If they could have even confined it to a section for spillover parking but having the full beach was too much and I felt a bit dangerous for young children with that many moving vehicles.

Our tour guide stopped here to demonstrate Irish sports (hurling and Gaelic football). I enjoyed watching the demonstration. The beach itself had hard sand--there were some motor vehicles on the beach itself. We also saw a few people in the water, even though the air temperature was maybe 60 F (15.5C). Clearly, the Irish people are pretty hardy.
