Stopped here on our travel from Dingle to Kilkenny. Great beach. Lively people. Spend the afternoon if you can on a nice day.

We visited one evening, ate dinner at the local beach restaurant. Then walked the beach. So lovely and unspoiled.

We spent a few nights at the Strand hotel just across the road. The place is stunning, very beautiful for long walks, swimming. I think its beauty is a little bit spoiled by the cars parked on the beach itself and by the people who...More

We went there on a cold, grey, windy day and the views (and photos) were very dramatic. You don't really need to stop for too long to get the idea....

This is my wife's favourite beach in the area. A lovely long strip of sand, firm and supporting underfoot. Clean, yet it can get very busy. Lovely views of both sides of the bay.

Spectacular scenery, peace and serenity away from the rat race of the city. However there is plenty to do for those who want adventure.

Sunny day, beautiful sandy beach and no mad rush of people. A combination of peaceful tranquility and nature at its best. What, weather permitting makes Ireland such a pleasure to holiday in. Thoroughly enjoyable day for the family.

Hi. The simple answer is “It Depends”, as in so many things 1. The weather? If its grotty and wet, then maybe not such a good idea to hang around. Come back later 2. Do you have young children? Always a good idea for a day... More

I have to second Amanda m60's thought on staying more central in Dingle town itself, I stayed in the Skelligs hotell recently, lovely place though a little overpriced, there are loads of guest houses there as well as the one... More
