- 12/10Our guide, Chloe, was amazing! We had the best time riding at Pathways on Pleasure Valley with her for our 4th annual fall hack. The property is stunning, especially in the fall. Horses are well maintained and friendly. Will definitely be back!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten October 16, 2023
- Incredible placeMy son and I went in August and again yesterday. We had an incredible experience again! Fall is such a beautiful time to go. The staff are wonderful and our horses majestic. Can’t wait to go back for the winter ride. We highly recommend this place!Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten November 12, 2023
- Another Great Ride at Pathways on Pleasure ValleyAs usual, I had another fantastic ride at Pathways on Pleasure Valley. The horses are well schooled and well cared for. Michael, the owner, his team and the guides are all so knowledgeable, attentive, and engaging. Cass was our trail guide for the morning Christmas day ride and she was great--animated, friendly and mindful. She organized the horses for the trail, was always checking in to make sure everyone was ok, and took pictures of all the riders which they emailed later. This is only a walking trail ride so it is perfect for the novice rider, and yet, as an experienced rider, I have been here several times, for the reasons above, and because of the outstanding scenic and tranquil forest trails we ride through; it is my balm.Visited December 2023Travelled soloWritten December 30, 2023
- Beautiful horse farm only 45m from TorontoWe went on Jan 1, a great way to spend New Year’s Day! Michael was our host and he was quite friendly and very knowledgeable about horses. We learned a lot by chatting with him. There was snow on the ground and the temperature was mild. It was not too cold. The sign up was relatively easy and even though we booked at the last minute, they were kind enough to provide a spot for us. Process of signing in was organized. I found the horses well trained and easy to ride. Overall a great day and way to spend a Sunday. Would recommend to others.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten January 1, 2024

- Summer chilling with Ryan and JulianI would highly recommend Pathways for horseback riding. We did a couples ride with Summer as our guide who was great. Our horses were Ryan and Julian - they were so chill and relaxed. It was a sunny day but the trail is covered so perfect weather - the scenery is picturesque and our horses were beautiful. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely be back!Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten June 15, 2024
- A wonderful experienceIt was so tranquil and the horses were gentle. Summer, who was leading our trail ride was kind and gave her feedback and direction using a super-positive and supportive approach. My daughter and I loved the experience and for me the most successful thing was that my daughter said ... "Summer complimented how I was managing the horse and her feedback seemed real". Thanks for a wonderful experience.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten August 13, 2024
- Marilyn MToronto, CanadaA Wonderful Trailride Experience!I decided to treat my 11-year old granddaughter with her first-ever time up on a horse. We had such a good time! We went for a one-hour trail ride and it was perfect. The two guides that accompanied the group (6 guests) were so nice--knowledgeable, patient and kind. They told us about the horses' personalities, kept a close eye on everyone throughout the entire ride, took wonderful photos of us and everything else we could ask. A great experience and it won't be our last visit.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten August 23, 2024
- Grandpa and granddaughter trail rideGrandpa and I rode Comanche and Yukon. They were calm and well behaved heading our directions to stay in line and keep the correct pace. It was a hot sunny day but almost all the ride was in the cool refreshing forest. Both horses posed with smiles for our side by side photo at the end of the ride.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten August 27, 2024

It was my second time riding and both times I have always referred and brought friends since I was referred to ride here by one of their staff members. The service and treatment we received by the owner was unacceptable. It was my friend's first time riding there and he had a few times when the horse was getting close to the other horse and he attempted to pull back to slow down. I understand the trainer (owner) was just trying to direct but his tone and attitude towards my friend was unreasonable and downright rude. I even expressed to him after that he didn't have to speak so harshly and that it was making us stressed and bringing down the excitement of the ride. He then went ahead and started yelling at me saying that I was also not listening and I was pulling back to slow my horse down- I was doing this because he was talking to me and I didn't want to walk ahead of him out of consideration! All in all, that experience made me sick to my stomach because there is a right way to give direction without being mean, we are humans with feelings too. I expressed my experience to Natalie and instead of simply apologizing for the anxiety and panic we experienced, their response was simply to defend themselves. I won't be surprised if their response to this review as well will list all the things we did wrong and why we deserved to be spoken in such a way- which is never the case no matter who you are! Respect and Kindness is and should always be the goal when running a business or just being human. I will not be returning to this location, which is unfortunate.

Hello,
Pathways on pleasure valley’s mission is to treat everyone respectfully including clients, our staff, our horses and our wildlife. We apologize if you did not feel that you received our highest respect and never wish to take away from someone’s experience and excitement. The only incident where respect is not our top priority is when it comes to safety. Before each ride we ask riders to watch a safety video which explains the basics of riding, how to steer, how to stop your horse and how to get your horse going. One of our main rules while out on the trail is to not let your horse pass others and not to ride side by side, we explain this again when all riders get on their horses.
On your ride your friends horse passed two horses and almost made it all the way to the third, this allows for a very dangerous situation where not only you are in danger but the other riders were in danger on this group ride. Our guide raised their voice because after multiple attempts of instructing the rider there was still no change. We are very relieved that no one was hurt on this ride, your group, other groups or our horses. We apologize again if you were left feeling this way but safety is always top priority and on this ride there was a large opportunity for others safety to be put in danger. We are glad that we did our job and everyone came back safely and you and your friend are able to leave this review.
Kind regards,
Pathways on Pleasure Valley

I haven't ridden since I've been a child so I was naturally apprehensive to try a trail ride on my own as a senior. My first experience at reception with Nancy put me completely at ease with such a warm welcome, she immediately made me so comfortable it was as if I had known Nancy as a personal friend. And oh what a beautiful ride. Our trail guides Sidney and Taylor were wonderful and offered tips as we went along on the trail and again it was as if I was among friends. Sidney was kind enough to even take some pictures so I would have a memento. Getting out in the forest it was like a winter wonderland so relaxing and rejuvenating. I highly recommend this experience for everyone especially with the onset of Covid this outing is just what is needed at times like this.

My visit to Pathways on Pleasure Valley was fantastic. I had only been on a horse once before and was apprehensive but enthusiastic about trying it again. The staff (Maddi, Michael and others) were supportive and friendly and made my ride and the entire day calm and lovely.
All of the horses on our group ride were gentle and beautiful.
I spoke to one of the staff about how the horses live and are cared for. I also got fun details about the different horses' personalities and social relationships- the horse I got to ride, Ryan, has a best friend he loves and the horse my pal rode, Latte, likes to sneak in snacks while on the paths. Overall, I highly recommend visiting and hope to go back again soon!

Pathways on Pleasure Valley is an amazing outing for families. The staff is professional and the horses are gentle and do all the work for inexperienced riders.
My family puts their ride at Pathways on Pleasure Valley on the top "summer experiences". We have encouraged our friends and family to try this and all have been truly happy with their rides. We highly recommend it!

What a great place to ride! I hadn't been horseback riding in awhile. Pathways at Pleasure Valley was open during the lockdown last June, and I decided to give it a try. Their covid policies were great, and the ride was so peaceful and scenic. I felt like I was alone on the trails, and it was a beautiful day!

A well organized stable with obviously knowledgeable staff. My guide Cassandra was very pleasant to speak to, can tell you all about the horses, has a real interest in learning about you, and goes out of her way to ensure you have an enjoyable experience.
Not only did I get a relaxing ride, but the trail provides enough variety that there was no boredom for someone that may ride a couple times a year (e.g. wide paths, up and down hills, scenic nature), etc. If you are looking for a bit more they do lessons, etc as well.
