    Great venue!
Great venue, lots and lots of people. We picked up a charcuterie plate to enjoy with our ciders. The drinks were excellent, but forget the charcuterie plate. It was overpriced and pretty tasteless. Just a few pieces of meat, some bread and cheese, and pickled veggies. We were disappointed.

A GREAT USS 100th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION at SLABETOWN CIDER CO.
We are Town Trolley Tours Uxbridge and on May 27, 2023 we were part of the Uxbridge Secondary School 100 th Anniversary Celebration at Slabtown Cider Co in the evening. We had 100's of attendees hop on the Trolley and we drove them down and back to the venue for a wonderful meal, celebration and event. The food, beverages were all a big hit with attendees and special thanks to all the staff and management for the excellent service at Slabtown Cider Co.

    Great place.
Very pleasant experience. Unique atmosphere, food was excellent. Lots of attentive staff. Only downside - we went on a very hot, humid day, and their A/C couldn't handle the heat. Will go back again.

Great little cider/brewery in the middle of nowhere
This is a wonderful cider and brewery, hidden in plain sight. We stumbled on it after an afternoon of hiking in the region. They have both indoor and outdoor restaurant seating as well as an outdoor bar/patio. They also let you take food/drink "to go" and consume on the grounds. We had a flight of both their ciders and their beers, as well as some food. Everything was tasty. We also took home a couple of bottles of cider. (Unfortunately they don't sell their beer yet.)

    A great outing!
It was a long weekend and we decided to start the weekend with lunch at Slabtown. The location is perfect for an outing a little drive and a great location with lots of free parking. The service was friendly and efficient even though our server was new to the job. The food was good but I think it needs to be upgraded a bit. I ordered prime beef on a bun and when it came to the table it was pot roast(covered in gravy ) on a bun and only partially warm. My wife was very happy with her choice. The whole effort is to showcase their cider which is great! My wife had the ginger cider and I had an apple slushy. Started the weekend on a nice note. My family is coming form the USA in August and we are going to take them to the slab for lunch.

    Great atmosphere, modern dining
I visited in December for a quick stop for their cider, for holiday gifts. They have a stocked store where you can purchase all their ciders and sample some as well. The main restaurant facility is modern with indoor and outdoor seating, and it sits right on the property where the apples are grown. I visited for business as well in the summer and found the atmosphere lively. The food is upscale - I had a personal pizza. There is live music there some evenings, not when I went. I highly recommend for those looking for a fun work or social outing.

This was our second visit to Slabtown, and it was very disappointing. I suspect they are victims of their own success.
First, it was extremely difficult to book. Can only call when open (no on-line system), and wait in line to talk to a person. We wanted to come on a Wednesday, and would have booked days in advance if we'd been able. There was a problem with the line and after half an hour of being bumped off, we called the store number and left a message for the eatery. By the time someone called back, we couldn't get a table.
Went on the weekend instead and were greeted by two uniformed security at the gate asking if we had a reservation (which we did). Not the welcome you expect... !This after the voice message says walk-ins are allowed. Time to change that message.
It was chilly so we sat inside. Concrete floor, metal ceilings, bare walls and tables made for a cold echoey experience. It was too loud and service was clearly rushed. A sign on the door advertising for staff was the likely clue. The place was packed, probably over-booked.
When she finally arrived, the server did not give us her name. When the charcuterie board finally arrived, it was five minutes before cutlery and napkins were delivered by someone else. And a further five minutes before a third bus person asked if we would like side plates. The server did not tell us about the specials and did not ask if we would like dessert. Needless to say, we did not linger. As my husband said, the feeling was 'get 'em in, get 'em out...'.
From the person on the phone to the various servers and even the security, staff were pleasant and clearly doing their best, apologising as necessary. But they are clearly under-staffed and over-worked. Combined with the noise level, it was not a pleasant meal.
Should add, many people sitting outside had dogs and/or kids, many of whom were enjoying running around in the fields. Clearly there is a demand for such a restaurant, but as a couple in our Sixties, hoping to enjoy our friends' company, this was not the place for us. We won't return to eat indoors, and probably not on the patio. We'll go somewhere smaller, quieter, more intimate. Uxbridge is full of excellent restaurants.
P.S. The cider is good, the food is good. But neither were enjoyed because of the overall rushed, noisy experience.

This establishment has a very large patio, a pub style dining room and an adjoining green space (acres of it) – families and dogs were utilizing it extensively. We arrived for dinner without a reservation and were seated in the dining room after a short wait. They have an excellent large outdoor patio – but it was jammed – reservations recommended. We were a party of six. Each of us had a flight of 4 cider – an excellent variety of tasty ciders. For dinner we ordered an assortment of appetizers for the table – pizza (2), calamari, artichoke & humus dip, and sweet potato fries. The Margherita and Prosciutto pizzas and the other plates were excellent. As crazy busy as it was, the service was excellent – lots of staff. Most impressed. We will be back.
