We ate inside at a high top table. The Caesar wrap and butter chicken on Naan were both amazing. The pizzas also got rave reviews. They had a good kids menu, and the food was not just prepared frozen food. Make reservations as this place is busy, and they only open until 8:00p.m. Their cider was very good! The service was hit and miss, lots of staff, but we were fairly forgotten until we hunted someone down to assist us. Once our order was placed it took a very long time to get our drinks. They seemed off on who was supposed to do what. They were very busy, but they still seemed to have the staff falling over each other. I am not sure if they needed more direction from management, but it wasn’t good service. We also only had one menu to share with 4 people, which was doable but since we had a reservation why wouldn’t our table automatically get the number needed.
I think they are having some growing pains as their reservation process is really annoying to use, they tell you your call will be next answered, but then you get an automated message that says “ for a call back leave your number.”

We went for our second visit last night and were just as impressed as our first visit. The food, drink and live entertainment all led to a fun, casual, and relaxing atmosphere. Between the four of us, we tried 13 different ciders (including the barrel-aged cider options) via the option to taste flights of four. After, we followed up with larger glasses of our favourites. I would highly recommend this approach as it gives you exposure to the broadest number of options, while still allowing you to enjoy an ice-cold pint of a cider you love.

The food was amazing and worth the trip all by itself. We shared the grilled octopus and charcuterie board appetizers. The octopus was accompanied by an eggplant and tomato base that was a star all by itself. The charcuterie was ample and provided a good mix of cheese styles, meats, olives, artichoke-asiago spread, and breads. Aside from the typical salami, etc. there was one unusual meat selection (don't know what it was) that was the star of the board. The cheddar was sharp and overall the cheeses were tasty.

For mains, we had the BBQ ribs, the BBQ rib pizza, the pistachio crusted salmon, and a bison burger. All were big hits! The sauce reduction on the BBQ ribs was so good, I would buy bottles of it if they decided to sell it separately. The rib meat was perfectly cooked and the portion was large. The nut coating on the salmon was a lovely surprise and perfectly balanced the dish. My picky son wouldn't share his BBQ rib pizza because it was so good he inhaled it. And the burger was a huge hit.

Overall, highly recommended and we will definitely be back again!

I finally made it to Slabtown Cider in Uxbridge! It's a local brewery located on over 90 acres of forest, trails, fields, and orchards. They craft their own ciders and beer onsite, and offer some fantastic food in their restaurant with a huge patio!

My friend and I had their Crab Cakes, Miami Ribs, and Caesar Salad to start. I know, it's a lot to start and it was all delicious!

For our mains, we had their Pickle & Bacon Pizza, and Jerk Chicken Linguini. Both were really good, with a great crust on the pizza. The jerk chicken was very tasty but may be spicy for some diners. Delicious, nonetheless!

I actually worked with some of the chefs at one of Markham's top golf/event/banquet facilities. They know how to cook good food!

Besides the great tasting food, Slabtown hosts festivals and concerts, making this a great venue for food and music. Check out this place!

The food was terrible, whoever they have cooking needs to go back culinary school.
Service was below standard basically using teenager serving, so good luck if you get what you ordered.
Desserts well I have been to Annie's and they are tres expensive.
If I was going to spend the type of money's these want I would go to restaurant..
Too many people just light rush hour walking down Bay St.

I give it a BIG MISA.

We made a reservation on the telephone for Tuesday at 7:30, and she confirmed the date, day and time. Our friends drove quite a ways to join us, and when we got there, the restaurant was closed. Apparently, it is always closed on Tuesdays, and I can only assume that the person on the phone was new. I phoned and left a message advising what had happened, I emailed the same, and I wrote a comment on their Facebook page. No one ever responded! Very disappointing customer service.
Despite that, we did try again a few months later. No one answered the phone when we called two days in a row, and three times, we were sent to a mailbox that was full. Suggestion?… sign up for an electronic/internet reservation service.
Once there, I have to say I was disappointed in the quality of the food. It was mediocre at best. And expensive. However, the service was good, the live music fun, and the view over the fields pleasant. The cider selection and quality was great.
Sadly, due to the poor management and mediocre food, I would not return.

As locals we’ve been here a lot and are so excited by how much they’re improving! You gotta like cider, and if you do you’re in great hands 🙂 Still, they really, really need to get some local beer and wine on the menu, cause not everyone loves cider all the time!

Their pizza is the bomb. Perfect crust, sauce, cheese ratio. We have also tried every salad and they are all delicious. We can’t pick a favourite but the crisp prosciutto in the spinach one....nice.
Butter chicken naan was excellent. The julienned apples are soooo good!
Salmon was also well prepared but could use some sauce.
Chicken caesar wrap was yummy.
The burgers need some work. Really overcooked. The double smash burger needs some kind of ketchup - a spicy and/or sweet ketchup with apples would be cool.
Bruschetta was not great since the bread was untoasted and the garlic spread absent. The server was likewise absent, so we just ate it. When we asked about the toasting, she said she would inquire but never came back. Since then the service has really improved.
Chocolate wedge cake is terrific. Walnut apple caramel pie is rather on the small side for its $12 price tag, but it was yummy.
Patio is just incredible. Shows off the beauty if Uxbridge. LOVE that we can bring our dog! We haven’t dined inside yet.
Can’t wait to try the pastas once I can enjoy with a glass of wine 😉

This is a wonderful cider and brewery, hidden in plain sight. We stumbled on it after an afternoon of hiking in the region. They have both indoor and outdoor restaurant seating as well as an outdoor bar/patio. They also let you take food/drink "to go" and consume on the grounds. We had a flight of both their ciders and their beers, as well as some food. Everything was tasty. We also took home a couple of bottles of cider. (Unfortunately they don't sell their beer yet.)

I visited in December for a quick stop for their cider, for holiday gifts. They have a stocked store where you can purchase all their ciders and sample some as well. The main restaurant facility is modern with indoor and outdoor seating, and it sits right on the property where the apples are grown. I visited for business as well in the summer and found the atmosphere lively. The food is upscale - I had a personal pizza. There is live music there some evenings, not when I went. I highly recommend for those looking for a fun work or social outing.

We went to Slabtown’s Slabfest tonight. To start, the Trews were amazing! Their performance has nothing to do with this review. The low star rating has everything to do with the ripoff VIP pricing. Our waiter started off the night well, but the service got worse as the night went on. We made it clear that we wanted to order food, but we wanted to wait until later. Our waiter reassured us that he would come back to take our order before the kitchen closed. He came back at “last call”. We ordered pizza. He returned 5 minutes later to tell us the kitchen has closed, but we could go and walk to the food trucks and get food ourselves. We would have paid for general admission if we wanted to go and line up at the food trucks. The whole point of VIP was the fact that we were supposed to get table service and be able to order at the restaurant. It was a complete waste of money and we would never pay for it again. We were not impressed

The samplers (Tasting Flight) is always a great way to taste new drinks. In this case, Cider. I tried the Founder’s Dry, Hint O’ Hops, Cab Sauv, and Bittersharp, and was impressed with the smooth taste of the Cab Sauv and the true hint of hops in Hint O’ Hops. The patio is very large, spacious, and service was fantastic.
