Wooden Sticks offers the ultimate golfing experience not currently found anywhere in the Ontario golf market. Open to the public, our premiere feature is truly great golf. Wooden Sticks has brought together some of the most recognizable golf landscapes from the PGA and sculpted them into the spectacular scenery of the local area to produce 18 remarkable holes. Play golf holes inspired by Augusta, St. Andrews, Pine Valley, Carnoustie, TPC Sawgrass, and Oakmont. Stay & Play packages include on-site accommodations, golf, and meals. A beautiful setting for a wedding, meeting or any type of special event!

I have been fortunate to golf all around Canada, The USA, Mexico and Cuba.
Many of the courses played are famous Championship courses in Florida, Arizona, Texas, California, The Carolinas and The Maritimes. Geeze, I even played 9 holes at Pitcher's Pond in Newfoundland.
Yesterday I got to play Wooden Sticks in Uxbridge Ontario (north east of Toronto)
This golf course has quite a few holes that pay homage to some very well known holes like Augusta, the Road Hole at St. Andrews and the ultimate terrifying 17th island green at Sawgrass.
From the moment I arrivedI was very warmly welcomed and invited to try the complimentary practice facilities. The driving range builds up your courage as you hit the balls into a deep valley.
The greens were like putting on olive oil covered marble. As quick as the Molson Indy but true and easy to read.
The golf carts are peppy and equipped with GPS, a ball/club washer and sand bottles for all the divots you will produce.
The course was in incredible condition. Great scenery too.
They have a Stay and Play package with 900 square foot cabins that I am anxious to try.
If you get to try this golf course, look for the button you push on the 17th tee to record your results.
Our round included a delicious dinner were you could choose a steak, catch of the day ( yesterday was Raindow trout) pasta, or as I had, tasty stuffed chicken. Impeccable service and they cleaned our clubs while we dined.
I cannot say enough good things about this golf experience.
BTW, I got real lucky and birdied the island green.

Sometimes returning to the same place can be disappointing but this was not the case at Wooden Sticks. Having enjoyed our package so much in 2023, we opted for the two night package this year. We enjoyed the same 5-star service and appreciated the extra day and round of golf. The reception and check-in was efficient and friendly. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The restaurant and patio provide a warm and comfortable atmosphere. There are plenty of food choices and the service is impeccable and staff are very accommodating with small change requests. Shoutout to Henri for his friendly welcome back and genuine kindness throughout our stay. The practice facility is lovely but could be improved with distance markers on the driving range. The nine-hole putting green is great for keeping people moving and setting up realistic and challenging putts. The course was in excellent shape, fairways soft and green, greens and tee boxes well maintained and nice carts. Our clubs got missed for cleaning on the night shift after the first round but they were clean and shiny for our third round. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again!!

Almost every year we have a family dinner or buffet in December at Wooden Sticks..
This year was great. Perfect. Excellent food. Great service. First class seating for these Covid times. Yes. Five stars. And for the first time the family had a separate room. Wow.

Ordered Peameal & Brie Grilled Cheese and paid extra for onion rings. Could hardly taste any Maple Pear Chutney. No taste to the Onion Rings and very greasy, pool of grease in bottom of bowl. Will not return.

We were there this week and were shocked to see the GM completely berate his poor teenage employees in front of us customers. Here these poor teens are putting their lives at risk to work during covid-19 and there was this horrid GM just abusing them. We complained to a manager later and were told he treats everyone that way. Ruined an otherwise amazing day of golf.

Attending for a company round of golf and purposely saved my drink coupon for after a long round. The bar directed me to walk to the halfway house to get the beer but they were closing early so she sent me back to the bar. The bar had to get the manager involved for these 2 complimentary beers and turned them down. Referred me to the small print on the redemption and after looking there was nothing there to validate her point.
Very lame and pathetic Management decision. She won’t need to worry about our company attending events here again.
Better choices in the GTA Luke LionHead and Angus Glen with much better service and clubhouse.

Went here for breakfast with friends on Sunday, October 24th. Ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict. Generous portions, absolutely delicious! Very nice views while dining, clean, and Covid protocols followed. Just don't expect much in the way of service. Our server was very slow, didn't refill coffee cups, one guest asked for no green peppers in his meal and it came with an abundance of them. No apologies, didn't offer to rectify the situation.

If you are a member of a high end private club, this is what it is like. If you have never been a private club member this is what it looks, feels and taste like. A pristine golf course perfectly maintained. The replica holes are great but so are the original designs. The welcoming is warm. The food and service are great and the staff is very friendly and well trained. WHAT A DAY. The ultimate golf experience. It is pricey but well worth it as a once a year destination.

My group and I went there golfing yesterday. Thought we had a 9:40 am tee time. Upon arrival the check in noticed out name wasn't on the list and asked me to go see the front desk. Went to the front desk and they had noticed there was an issue as they couldn't find us for a tee time. We decided to go have some breakfast while deciding what we should do. Will on the patio Steve came up to use and apologized for the mix up on the booking. He stated once we were done breakfast to come and see him.
We finished up breakfast. He had carts already set up for out clubs and had us start at the tenth hole to fix the issue. Steve stepped up to fix a problem to make the day worth it after all.

This was my first time playing this awesome and yes it is awesome course. We did the pay in march play in May. It was a great deal and it was a great time. This course has to be played by all, it is well worth the cost to play there. The meals are good also and the staff awesome. They are more than helpful. I would recommend this course in a second.
