Well with a 2 1/2 year old in tow (or was he dragging us?) we had a hoot! I have no idea who among the volunteers/ staff were Thomas's or who was YDHR's but I guess that's the point: they made a seamless team. The...More

Hi Thank you for taking the time to review us and letting us know of your excellent day with us. The Day Out With Thomas is our biggest event of the year, raising funds for our non-profit railway. Our volunteers, who work hard all year...More

Very disappointed in this event. We drove 1 hr to pay $100 for nothing. Tickets to this should be no more than $10/person. The train ride is described as "scenic" but is nothing of the kind. Its a 5km/h ride between trees. There is nothing...More

HI Kordian. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. The pricing is a standard price set by Mattel, not the YDHR. You will find similar pricing at most Day Out With Thomas stops across Canada and the US this season. This event...More

This was a great event. I had been worried reading some of the reviews but our extended family all had a great time with 2 grandparents and 3 kids under age of 3 to keep happy - probably best ages for this I feel. Lots...More

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. We took steps for this year's event, based on customer feedback, to improve pedestrian traffic flow around the site. I am glad to hear you noticed this year's changes. Thomas was attached...More

What a waste of time. I thought we would see the countryside, but not only were the windows so dirty it was impossible to see through them. The train only went for about 5 miles down the track roughly 10 minutes. The noise inside the...More

Hi Arthur. Thank for you taking the time to leave us a review. It sounds like you only rode our short Day Out With Thomas trip, not our full excursion train. The two are very different. DOWT offers a 20-25 minute return train trip so...More

We attended the Day Out With Thomas event last week and had a wonderful time! It was extremely well organized. The staff and volunteers were very friendly, enthusiastic and made the event a success (I have never seen a bouncy castle run so smoothly—and safely!)....More

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am very happy to hear you enjoyed your day with us! Our volunteers worked very hard to make the Day Out With Thomas event a reality. Planning for the next year starts almost...More

This was a relatively simple idea for an outing; pack some lunch, drive to Stouffville Station then sit in air-conditioned comfort and watch the green pastures pass by on our way to Uxbridge. Explore, then return. We boarded the train at Stouffville Station, where there...More

My kids loved the train ride! The clown was entertaining. The guitar singer had a beautiful voice. We enjoyed the baggage cars open windows that you could stand by and watch the world go by. The only issue I had was with paying them. I...More

No... We were also a party of 5 so we booked 4 all facing one way at tables across the aisle and one on the opposite side of the table. Worked out well.
