Good to see this on Doors Open! The artist in the back room had a great display on sets at Stratford and an exchange with Russia. So interesting.

The Station Gallery is a small town treasure -- an art gallery in an historic but operational train station. With regular shows staged every few months there's usually something new and challenging to see. And often the art work is for sale at very reasonable prices. Opening nights are usually packed. If Cameron is around he'll gladly tell you more ... much more!

We were there for a Friday night opening of a new exhibit. The artistic experience is enhanced by the historic nature of the depot and its proximity to St Mary's historic water tower. Being train fans, we also enjoyed watching the local train coming through.

Station is used as multipurpose we’re one can purchase train tickets or enjoy the many examples of work from visiting artist and have a conversation with the actual artist and gain a better appreciation of their talent and dedication . New perspective through the eyes of the creator , truly unique experience.

We were surprised to learn that VIA Rail still provides a service here, albeit limited, from Toronto. The other value added to our short visit was the interesting and very colorful exhibition of discarded props used in some of the more prominent Stratford Theatre offerings and by several well known actors. Richard Monette is one name that springs to mind. We would also like to send a big Mississauga shout to Diane who was on duty and added to our appreciation of the station and its repurposed space.
