I live near this historic place. Storm Ciara destroyed it and the associated museum. A sad loss to the whole community.

There are thousands of antique and collectors items in several rooms. I purchased some Silver items that I was Very pleased with. To see everything you really need at least an hour to look round the centre. A great bonus is the free parking next to the shop.

We attended this Church for a funeral and after the service we said we had to go back for a better look. there is a lot of history to the Church, just recently it finished a long program of restoration.

A church has been here in Burgh le Marsh since at least the 11th century when a church was recorded in the Domesday Book. The church has definitely altered since then as the current structure is English Gothic. Inside the building, notable features include vault bosses of Green Men, a pre-Christian symbol usurped by the church to symbolise immortality. Other notable features include a Jacobean pulpit and mediaeval painting on walls and pillars. With a visit if you're in the area.
