The views were amazing. For runners, cyclists or those with prams very flat. The walk from Sandgate to Folkestone along the sea took us about 40 mins, ok on way there but v v v blustery on way back. Was also dark and not lit at 4.30pm so wouldn’t recommend walking back unless you are in a big group or later in the year. No toilets on walk but one cafe half way along.

A lovely walk in an area where my dad trained as a copper when it was a police training centre. Spoke to the very friendly groundsman who was extremely knowledgable about the history of the area . He informed me where the parade ground would have been. I found it and stood and remembered my father - imagining him as a young man marching up and down and having his passing out parade in that spot .. A beautifully kept garden and if you do happen to see the groundsman, definitely stop and have a chat - he is so full of interesting facts about the place ..

There was a time when every other shop in Sandgate sold good quality antiques. Most are gone now, though a few remain, mostly with irregular opening hours and under threat of closure. The large Pine store at the southern end of the village appears to be up for sale now, and another outlet, next to the village's general store, has recently closed down. So Christopher Buck, a renowned antique dealer, deserves support. He has some good items on show and is a highly competent professional.

We went twice in the evening for drinks before it was taken over by the L&B group. It was a very cosy, traditional pub so we're keen to see what it will like now - been to all their venues except Punch & Judy.

Had such a fun day making lots of pots on the wheel with my Mum and sisters
Great experience to do with family, friends or a partner.
Excellent teacher, plentiful materials and fab tools to decorate with.
We all really enjoyed and would highly recommend.
    Yummy milkshakes available too!

Have used Gee's over the years but have been going there more regularly as very local to us. Staff are really nice, welcoming and friendly.

Until this weekend we had never eaten here and was very happy with the food, we had a lovely roast which was served quickly. You get a choice of meat and it is served with roast potatoes, 5 veg and Yorkshire pudding, so much food but delicious.

We were visiting friends who have recently moved to Sandgate and Rhett want to try this newly opened bar. They have a good selection of local beers and guest beers and knowledgable, friendly staff. There is also a nice, friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Popped in here looking for something different for our newly decorated bedroom. Couldn't believe the stuff both old and new and the size of the place. It is like shopping in someones house going through their bedrooms, living area, kitchen and bathroom. When you go upstairs to the kitchen area you can help yourself to free coffee and biscuits. We have returned several times and taken friends as we like this shop so much.
