Myself and my family have always been massive supporters of the five sisters zoo (we are annual pass holders) and we visit the zoo regularly. The thing I love the most about this incredible place is the heartfelt back story of how the zoo came to be and the incredible rescue and conservation work they do. The animal residents are really at the heart of everything they do and their welfare is the number 1 priority. I saw this in bucket loads after my experience of meeting the bears bayara and Esso today. The bears have always been a special interest of mine so to have the chance to go behind the scenes and learn more about these incredible girls and their stories is truly humbling. Their keepers have so much knowledge and love and it radiates in the way they interact. Having the opportunity to lay out the food for the morning inside the enclosure was amazing and being able to interact one to one was something I'll forever cherish. The experience included breakfast at the leaping lemurs cafe which was exceptional! All in all this was truly one of the best days I have ever experienced and recommend if you love the bears to try this experience. ❤️ Keep up the incredible work five sisters zoo you make a difference! Special mention to Byara and Essos keepers who were so lovely, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make the experience special. You guys are amazing! Until next time 🙂

What an amazing experience! We had an absolute ball! My husband and I enjoyed it just as much as our 6 year old. The animals are so well cared for and obviously loved very much. My daughter enjoyed walking the goat and doing the wee obstacle course with it just as much as walking and feeding all the alpacas. We felt very privileged to spend time with the newest member of the alpaca family too. We can't wait to go back!

The food was excellent helpings huge very good value and staff efficient, friendly and pleasant. I had macaroni and cheese with a leaf salad. The cheese used was smoky so it was unusual and delicious.

This monument is set in a small garden and was raised as a memorial to the men of West Calder who fought in the two world wars. The monument features a square plinth surmounted by an obelisk. The four sides of the plinth are attached with bronze plaques for the roll of honour. The bronze plaques all have a distinctive design, being decorated with floral scroll-like ends on either side. The obelisk has a smooth finish and unusually for an obelisk, has a flat rather than a point end. A worthy memorial for the men of West Calder.

We decided to try out Clay pigeon shooting and axe throwing while visiting Edinburgh this summer. We are a family with young teens and had zero shooting / hunting experience.

Mark is a great teacher. He was super patient and spot-on with his instructions. He put all of us at ease and ensured we learned the basics appropriately while having a good time. We were grateful to have him as our instructor.

We had a wonderful day! Our kids said this was one of the most memorable activity they tried on vacation. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.
