- Deborah OLas Vegas, NV608 contributionsIt is very easy to take a bus from Queretaro to Tequisquiapan. And a short walk from the bus station down to the center of town. On the way to the center, you will pass by the museum Mexico me encanta! Walk in! This was too cute! Scenes from mexican life, tradition and culture - that we all have seen During our visits to Mexico but presented in miniatures that are all handmade! How creative!
I was lucky and honored to meet the owner herself who put this project together!
It was so much fun going through this museum regardless to the age and I was really deeply emotionally touched by idea, devotion, energy, love and time put into this project!Written November 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I wouldn’t take a kid under 8 tho because it’s quite a bumpy ride up the mountain.Written November 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Homer O12 contributionsNice plaza to have a rest while enjoying an ice cream or soda.
Has a lot of restaurants and stores, some art galleries, and handicrafted goods.
By the afternoon close to sundown a lotof birds fly in circles around the plaza and finnally they go to their nests in the trees. Is really a nice and anazing spectacle.Written September 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It undeniably stood out as the highlight of my trip. The attention to detail, exceptional service quality, thorough explanations, and authentic atmosphere truly made it an unforgettable experience. Each moment spent within the temazcal was nothing short of rejuvenating and left me feeling thoroughly refreshed. Every penny spent felt justified, considering the unparalleled experience it offered.
I must extend my deepest gratitude to Mr. José Antonio and his family for their outstanding professionalism and warmth. Their genuine care and dedication to providing an exceptional experience are commendable and rare to find. The temazcal experience not only relieved me of stress but also left me feeling deeply connected to the traditions and culture surrounding it.
Furthermore, the post-temazcal meal was nothing short of exceptional. It surpassed even the highest expectations, offering flavors and dishes that rival those of the most esteemed restaurants.
Thank you, Mr. José Antonio, for providing such an extraordinary experience. Rest assured, I am eagerly anticipating my return to partake in this rejuvenating journey once again.Written February 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 658gretchensSarasota, FL48 contributionsHad the best time today at the winery. Stopped in for a tasting and a glass of wine. Three hours later we finally left. There was a party to celebrate Los Ninos. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Oh and the wine is great too. The tempranillo is my favorite.Written May 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Fernando DMexico City, Mexico12 contributionsSpent the day at Hacienda el Sueño with my two kids (7 & 5). It is a great scenario. Good food with outstanding craft beer. A must stop when near Tequis or Queretaro. Petting farm was great as well. Staff is extremely attentive.
Highly recommended spot to have lunch or spend the day.Written March 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This festival takes place in Tequisquiapan, Queretaro, two an a half hours away from Mexico City. Unfortunately, it's not the type of event where you can introduce yourself into wines, due to the crowdedness and the poor interest from wineries to teach you.
Surprisingly, even though you paid for the entry, the price for a bottle of wine is similar as the one you'd find in any liquor store.
The festival's main purpose of bringing together people to involve them into the wine world is quite interesting, but it's far away from reach it. Disappointingly most of the people end really drunk, just carefully avoid them!
Kindly, my recommendation for new wine learners would be: don´t put too high expectations for the festival, but if you only want to drink whatever wine it's in front of you, fairly it´s a good place.Written June 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
