- Trevor T5 contributionsWe visited Quinta dos Frades for a lovely and fun vinyard tour and wine tasting. Maria João (guide) was an informative, very funny, and welcoming tour guide! She was open to answering any and all questions related to Douro wines, the vineyard, wine making, Portugal, etc! He went above and beyond with the selection of wines! A young team, producing just 70.000 bottles a year, has great taste in blending. She took us on a great tour giving us expert knowledge on very facet of the winery, winemaking and the business. She oozes passion for both the industry and this winery. It was also great wine. We are Australians who have a good understanding of the wine industry and loved our time here.
