We loved the wonderfully preserved medieval architecture, the colourful Maltese balconies, and the splendid views of Valetta from Birgu.

Rotunda of Mosta Mosta 8.8 km away
#1 of 3 Sights & Landmarks in Mosta
Easy bus ride to visit the church with its huge dome, site of the miraculous escape for the congregation when a German ww2 bomb pierced its dome, landed on and skidded across the marble floor without exploding.
The church’s circular design with a six-columned portico was closely based on the Pantheon in Rome, and the great dome – a prominent landmark (its external height is 61m) – is visible from most parts of Malta.
