Even though the weather was slightly wet, it was still a truly amazing view from the top of the tower. Well with the money and the people running it are very knowledgeable.

We ended our 2022 camping season with a week long trip to Charleston Provincial park in early October. We stayed in the Shady Ridge campground, with a small (20') travel trailer. The grounds were well maintained as was the comfort station. The Park rangers we encountered were friendly and cordial. The campground was only full on the weekends, although the majority of electrical sites were occupied the week we were there. We loved the hiking trails, and we enjoyed the Tallow Rock trail, Sandstone trail, Shoreline trail, Hemlock Ridge and Beech trails. All were excellent and very different from each other.

The only complaint would be the quality of the firewood for sale at the park. It was quite wet and didn't work out very well. We bought some wood locally at Twists in Outlet - and that wood was excellent.

We plan on returning next summer!

We had a great hike to the lookout with our 3.5 year old and baby. Toddler could do the hike easily and we carried the baby in an infant carrier on my back. Fall colours were gorgeous and trails were in good shape! Beautiful view from the lookout. Limited parking. Bring a picnic blanket as there is lots of space to set up a picnic.

I’d give it a higher rating if I could! This is a little gem of a shop filled with wonderful, quality merchandise perfect for gifts. I have visited often and although I usually intend to buy a gift or two when I visit, I invariably end up leaving with something for myself as well.

What makes this place even more special is the charming proprietor, Dawne. As cheerful as she is knowledgeable. Filled with helpful information about the area, local shops, and the flora and fauna. I have been lucky enough to visit at a time when Dawne is able to give me a tour of the gardens beside the studio and also very fortunate to be able to attend a couple of the paint classes which are advertised on her website.

I have also visited at times when some of the other artisans are in attendance.
Kayla, the lovely lady that creates the jewelry is extremely talented in her craft and more than willing to make a custom piece specific to my needs.

Angie is a delight and truly gifted in all the handiwork she creates.

Go when you have some time to look around, but even if you only have time for a quick visit, you’ll be happy you went. Be sure to bring a friend so there will be more of a chance that you don't miss seeing something. The experience is better shared.

This place is absolutely outstanding! It is extremely customer service driven. The owner Steve is extremely helpful, friendly and cares about people. Its very clean and has an easy going, laid back feeling to it. Makes you feel like you're away in the Caribbean... that open door feeling, with water sport toys (seadoos/boats/lied jackets/docks, etc). We rented a seadoo and had a great time. The seadoos are all new and work very well. Well worth the cost, which is in our opinion very reasonable. This is going to be a place we come back to, time and time again! Thanks for everything, Steve!
