What travellers are saying
- Pam B2 contributionsWe love to visit tropical Caribbean gardens and had already seen Balata. M. Babo's is very different but equally amazing. He has crafted a kaleidoscope of colour on his own over the last 18 years. The results are astonishing. It is tricky to find the gardens but well worth the drive. He was delighted to share his pride in his garden with us. He does not speak English but don't let that put you off.Written February 27, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robby G CToronto, Canada81,632 contributionsWe walked a lot and we had fun.
Walking is always fun.
We had some signs to know we were on the right path.
We passed a plantation.
We came back where we wanted.Written October 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is not much sand for kinda to play with on the shore. But the see is so nice and shallow....one big yack is brown algae on the beach and the smell they cause when rotting. If you have unstable stomach don’t go there.Written March 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KostisinBloomingdale, NJ245 contributionsMy teen’s one wish was a horse ride on the beach. Ranche Macabou delivered. We had trouble with a language barrier to book it (I eventually had to have the hotel owner from hotel Corail residence book it for me as I didn’t receive a return contact to my English inquiries. We visited during high season so she did this 6 days in advance for me. Be prepared for a challenge finding it (down a bumpy back road and a hard to see sign on your right) but once you are there be prepared for some amazing scenery on some well cared for and gentle horses. Even with our language barrier they took the time to ensure we communicated our riding experience as best we could and were matched to the proper animal. I have read reviews here that the owner was rude. I did not find him so. He was reserved, but highly professional, at least with us. Definitely worth the trip if you are looking to ride a horse in Martinique. Very well priced too. Just $40 euro per person for two full hours on the trail, tho set aside 3.5 for the full tacking and untacking and to enjoy a grenadine punch with the owner afterwards.Written February 21, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paolo GRome, Italy5 contributionsWe were a group of 6 friends and did an outing in the Pirogue with Benoit and although the day was pretty windy, thee had a lot of fun. - zackdaigleGreenville, SC1 contributionThis was our last full day of a 7 day trip in Martinique, and it was the PERFECT way to end our trip. Marc and Christophe were incredibly nice and accommodating, knowing a fair amount of English. We felt comfortable doing everything with their guidance. The paddling was superb, with breaks for snorkeling, home cooked food(!!!), beautiful wildlife and plant life, great conversation and even better riddles. Would highly recommend to anyone from anywhere coming to Martinique. When we return, we will be coming by Fluerdo again, for sure. Even if it’s just to say hello.Written June 26, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
