- 4grlsmomPewaukee, WI53 contributionsI would encourage anyone visiting Bermuda not to miss visiting this beach! While there are many pretty beaches in Bermuda, this one is really special. Yes, it can be a little crowded, but there is plenty of room on this wide expanse of pink sand. The water is crystal clear, and the turquoise waves have to be seen to be believed. For children and swimmers that prefer calmer water, there is a beautiful cove which is protected by rocks, so the water isn't very wavy. There is a bathhouse and small restaurant on site, and ample parking.Written November 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SherriSinking Spring, PA17 contributionsThis was a fun hour exploring a cave with water in it. The cave was warmer than I expected. You get a workout walking down & climbing back out. This is not an appropriate activity for people with mobility issues. It can get very busy on days when cruise ships are in. It’s an excursion for Norwegian Cruise Line but we booked direct & saved money.Written December 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul SRochester, UK121 contributionsWe had an hour to fill and we're so glad we did it. There were high winds when we went up, so it was scary outside at the top, but you can see most of the Island from up there. Fantastic! Very informative stop offs at each level, which gave you a breather on the way to the top. Lovely helpful Gent in the ticket office shop. Well worth doing and only $2.50 on an Island where everything is so expensive.Written January 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Akkers1London, UK834 contributionsWe decided to go to Dockyards a couple of times on our trip for lunch and afterwards we enjoyed watching the boats whilst eating an ice cream. They also have some shops here for example the Craft market (local handmade items) and The Clocktower which is a small shopping arcade, a pharmacy and a few other little shops too which sell touristy items i.e. tee shirts etc.
This is also where the National Museum of Bermuda is located in the old fort area and you can play mini golf here, as well as catching the ferries to go to Hamilton and also to St. George.
Finally, there are restaurants like Frog & onion, Bonefish etc.
We have been here a couple of times over the years and it’s still good area to wander round, although I expect it gets very crowded when the cruise ships dock.Written November 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can rent the equipment and there is a nice on site restaurant for some relaxing cocktails or lunch. the only downside is that it is close to the wharf and when a cruise ship is in town it is overly crowed as it is not a long and wide beach. We stayed for an hour or so and returned to the empty ship and had a nice time on deck.Written September 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nailah Ricco-BrownNew York City, NY16 contributionsPlan to be here for about 2.5 - 3.5 hours with small children. Great aquatic exhibit that is easy to self navigate with a zoo and museum attached. Its a walking experience and very engaged, yet small. We enjoyed ourselves but did get rained out, so did not experience all of the exhibits and museum, but would definitely return.Written September 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LeslieL4Mooresville, NC225 contributionsGreat museum. Fun for all ages. Nice for a rainy day trip or if you have had too much sun. Nice display of items from shipwrecks going back 100’s of years. Lots of places for kids to zoom around looking at gun turrets & cannons. Terrific views. You can walk here from cruise ship very easily. Two seniors cost $24, so about the price of lunch.
An added bonus is the Lilli Bermuda perfume store now located there. I picked up some nicer gifts than T shirts & something for me too.Written November 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. From start to finish the entire experience was incredible. I would like to add that my trip was in mid December so the weather was less than favorable, but it didn’t matter the water still felt great. This was my first open water dive so there was a very small bit of anxiety, but that quickly turned into excitement because of Martin! Martin was the instructor that explained everything that I needed to know to insure my dive experience was perfect but more importantly that it was “SAFE” I can honestly say I trusted Martin with my safety and never doubted it one bit.
Once we got under and I found myself in a good rhythm my Jacques Cousteau side kicked in (LOL) and we started to explore Bermuda from underneath the waves. We swam around a sunken boat and actually swam through it. Got to see some pretty big lobsters. I mean the list goes on. It was incredible!
We ended up only getting to do one dive because like I said it was mid December so the weather was subpar. The wind started to pick up sooner than we anticipated so Chris (The Captain) made the call to head back in. I genuinely appreciate the fact that Chris made the call because it showed the safety of everyone onboard was more important than the money.
So with all of that being said I would highly recommend Blue Water Divers to anyone who has never scuba dived before and is looking to experience it. You will not be disappointed! I am forever grateful for this experience and it will be a memory that will live with me forever!

- Bear HWilliamsburg, VA1,306 contributionsGreat History of the Tucker family in the church and graveyard. The memorial plaques in the church tell of the tucker family history . - TravelerNew York City, NY5 contributionsSo quiet and the most beautiful sand. No wonder the locals love it! If you want to experience the beach at Bermuda without all the crowds, this is the place to go.Written December 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JoyCentral Valley, NY2 contributionsI opted to NOT go to horseshoe bay beach because it was the most popular tourist beach and said to be very very crowded. Instead I went to Elbow Beach ten minutes further on a local bus. Wow! What a beautiful, uncrowded and clean beach! No rocks, no seaweed, crystal clear warm water! I’m so glad I researched and found this beach! BTW it only cost $9 round trip vs $157 the cruise line wants to charge you just for transport.Written August 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert BMassanutten, VA272 contributionsThe ferry is a great way to get around Bermuda. My wife and I took it from the Royal Dockyards to Hamilton and the round trip price was $18 for both of us. We chose to ride up top to get nice views and a good breeze. The day we rode the ferry was the day of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth. Even so the schedule was pretty reliable although many businesses were closed.Written September 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CanadianCurlyfryEdson, Canada52 contributionsThis street in Hamilton was adorable. I loved walking along here, with the water to one side and the colourful buildings on the other side. It was clean and felt very safe while we were here.Written September 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tom H5 contributionsIts very nice but limited in what you can do. Few jumps from each cliff and you're done. Its definitely a must do. We did it with a dry cave and wet cave excursion. We will go back on next cruise for sure.Written October 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
