Our guide Pablo took us on his boat for half a day to the Fond blancs, the baignoire de Joséphine, a secluded beach and the Mangroves.

It was absolutely magical as was the incredible knowledge and hospitality he shared. It is well worth investing in this experience!

Visiting the botanical garden is a unique experience on the island. The impeccable care for the flowering plants and trees and the comprehensive arrangement of the park is surprising. A very nice addition to the tour is a path through the treetops and a bird's-eye view.

We had a great time visiting Les Gorges de la Falaise! It was close to our accommodation in Morne Rouge (<15 minutes drive), and easy to find on our offline maps.
We had read previous reviews that said to bring a bathing suit, but we didn't realize that we would ONLY be allowed to wearing bathing suits. And for good reason - we were completely submerged in water at some parts!
As others have explained, you are required to pay 10 euro cash to the attendant at the top of the gorges/beside the parking lot. He verifies that you are wearing waterproof clothes, only have waterproof cameras, and have water shoes (I recommend closed toes, otherwise, you can rent the waterproof sandals for 2 euros). He also holds on to your car keys and supervises the parking lot. He spoke English.
You hike down into the gorge - about 10-15 minutes. The steps were big, and there were handrails (occasionally rusty, but otherwise sturdy). It's not an easy walk down, but not challenging either. At the bottom, we gave our ticket to the attendant to show that we paid. He told us to wait for a guide across the river. Unfortunately, we had to wait for 30+ minutes for a guide, which would have been nice to know. Oh well.
Once the guide arrived, he took us into the actual gorge/river along with a couple other tourists. Do not expect a lot (any) information from your guide - he is there strictly to guide you safely to the waterfall! When the water was deep, there were secure ropes to help you move yourself further along. You are in water, ranging from ankle deep to submerged, the entire time. There are a couple of metal ladders to climb, but they were very secure. It was really gorgeous, and the waterfall at the end was a nice pay-off!
If you're in Martinique's north end and have a spare couple of hours, I would recommend the trip! As others have mentioned, call ahead or ask someone in the know (we asked our hotel manager) if it's open.

There is a very nice beach - white sand and clear blue water. The view from the pier in front of the church is very nice, iconic for the island. There are very good restaurants along the coast.
I recommend it as one of top 10 town to visit.

A great walk / hike along the sea, across the vegetation to arrive to an amazing beach. Bring your water and good shoes!

This landmark is mandatory when visiting Martinique. And at the end of the tour a surprise, tasting room with great old hums. Beautiful garden.

This really unique. People can go on the ocean and they don't have to swim. Once at the special place named 'La Baignoire de Josephine", The floor is stable and anyone can walk anywhere.

People like to walk on that, because it is different and attractive!

    A must see!

Fabulous beach, though it is a bit small. It has really good bathroom and changing facilities, which is such a rarity. One area is good for snorkelling with varieties of fish. Sea turtles hang out here as well and that was really the highlight for us. A crowd of snorkelers was out looking around, and three turtles swam through, down to the bottom to feed, up to the top for air and back down again. One of the three was at least a metre long (shell length). Fabulous day!

It tends to fill up quickly, and parking is on the side of the road, so for a successful day, plan on getting there no later than 8:30 in the morning, spend a few hours and head out before it gets too crowded.

At first a beautiful drive takes you to An Mao. Just when you think you took the wrong way you find the sign that will lead the rest of the way (by foot). Pierre-Yves welcomes you and guides you through his chemin des ancêtres. It is an ode to his ancestors, former slaves from Africa. During the tour he provides you with interesting historical facts, he shares his wide knowledge of plants and their medicinal purposes and tells unforgettable stories about growing up on this beautiful spot. In Dutch we would say: je komt Ogen en oren te kort.
At the end of the tour Pierre-Yves is in your heart forever.

We were on a shore trip from our cruise. The destination was this beach.. After seeing the ride there, I recommend you take a trip with a guide, due the the roads. It is windy, up and down with many turn offs. with this beach as our destination. It was worth the trip. A nice long curved beach with plenty of shade, beach and a bar and some snack shops. The water is calm and good for children. It was Sunday and not crowded.m We wee there about 3 hours. Martinique beautiful island with lot of green trees, plants and crops of bananas and sugar cane. They are proud of their rum and say the bet. Of course all the island make this their claim! I recommend it ia trip of this kind if yo9u go there.

We were glad we came here although I wouldn't necessarily recommend a long detour to see it. But the placards (available in THREE languages at least -- French, English, and Creole) were informative, the bananas put out to eat were a nice treat, and the grounds were lovely.

We had to walk on the stairs and finally we were on a terrace.

The views from here were amazing!

If we wanted to know what we were looking for, we had to look at the ma and we knew the name.

For example, you see a big rock. What is it? look at the map and you know is the Diamant.

    I give this a 10/10. Wow!

I love dit and we stood there for two hours.

    A must see!

I liked that beach with grey sand. There were several hammocks. It is very comfortable.

There were a lot of people in the ocean. Others were in a hammock or sunbathing.

We could see a high rock in the ocean.

We had palm trees and other trees as well.

    Worthwhile to see!
