We were lucky enough to stay at le Diamanr while we were in Martinique, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. It’s a quiet little town, with a nice beach and the views are everything. While there are waves, the water is incredibly pleasant and we spent many happy nights on our balcony looking out at the rock

We stopped off here on our bus tour from the cruise we were on. There is an information board with the full story, both in French and English. It is a memorial to the slaves who died when the boat they were on sunk nearby. Very poignant, and moving

Difficult trail in the south vest part of Martinique. Near town of Le Diamant. Took 1.5 hrs to climb the mountain on the Diamant site. It had rained so it was quite muddy and slippery. On a dry day I would think it would take about 1 h to the top. If you climb from the other side you can do it a bit faster.

We stayed in an Airbnb villa where the garden gate opened into the beach and went in for a swim 2-3 times/day for 11 days! the currents are strong but you can wade out to a considerable distance of 50-60 feet before the water comes up to the chest and the bottom is lovely and clear when the sea is a bit settled. Great views of Diamond rock - always.

A small house with a nice history. I thought it would be older, but it was not built until the 1960's . There is a story board next to it. It is worth visiting if in the area, but I wouldn't travel far to see it

This church is close to the Diamond.

There were alot of people outside. Inside there was communion.

There is a high tower and the cross at the very top.

The outside of the church is yellow.

I looked inside and aw that the walls were white.

    There was ample parking.

    Worthwhile to see!

Our family stopped in here during our day visit to Le Diamant. It is right on the corner in the center of town, across the street from the beach and right in front of the main bus stop. It is a small, one room museum, mostly dedicated to the science behind Diamond Rock, with a lot of information on the birds that call it home. Most of the exhibits are in French. There is also a short film with English subtitles, all about the history and geology of the rock, and about all of the birds that nest there. It was a nice little stop to help us learn more about the area and the town of Le Diamant.

First, let's talk about the setting. Le Diamant is one of the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. The trail is great and suitable for everybody. The team is very nice, they know their stuff and you'll discover this part of Martinique like the natives experience it. I've met some very nice people along the way (like Alain and Isabelle, the owners: funny, warm, generous) and I truly recommend this. I did as well a visit of Fort-de-France on a Fatbike and I don't regret it a bit. To sums it up : I enjoyed myself tremendously.
