What travellers are saying
- Lexie GLondon, UK103 contributionsVery nice beach set up with lots of opportunities to take in the sun rays.. lovely clean blue water and facilities for sun loungers & sun umbrellas plentiful.. wind gusts do get up so you need to hold onto your umbrella sometimes or it will become a flying object.. nice beach bars & restaurants and the beach massage there is one of the best I had with the lovely Belinda.. if you are cruising much cheaper to grab a taxi to Rodney Bay rather than the expensive cruise options.. I definitely will return!!!Written January 25, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- David SMiddlesbrough, UK2,407 contributionsThe Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Cathedral, is located opposite Derek Walcott Square and is a short walk from the cruise terminal. The Cathedral is an atmospheric delight and amongst other treasures the island’s patron saint, St Lucia, is portrayed directly above the altar.Written March 6, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve O27 contributionsWe drove from Soufriere to the park in about one and a half hours. An interesting experience in itself. Once there we were greeted by Pamela, who explained the options for visiting. We went for the 90 minute trek. Pamela was a great guide, taking time to identify various bird life, despite it not being a birdwatching tour. The walk is moderately strenuous but is doable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.Written March 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PandabuddieUnited Kingdom1,719 contributionsHad a nice time in here looking at all the fruit and veg. Very busy as well. Great place to pick supplies if you are staying close and are on a self catering basis. Or for picking up fruit to take to the beachWritten February 22, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- darcluRochester Hills, MI18 contributionsThere's a lot to like about staying at this Sandals resort on the beautiful Island of Saint Lucia. This was our first time staying at a Sandals resort and our first visit to Saint Lucia.
Pros:
The Staff at this Sandals resort is amazing. They work diligently to make sure your stay is wonderful. They maintain the resort to the "T". It's clean and well maintained.
If you are interested in scuba diving or a certified diver, Sandals does it the right way.
They have their own dive boat, and a well-equipped dive center located in the marina.
It's been a few years since my last dive, so I did have to take a "refresher" course at the resort. My instructor Nash was great. I ended up going on 2-tank dive and I did use a private dive master (Tiny) for one of my dives. There's a fee of $150 but I felt it was well worth it to have that 1-1 attention.
We went on one other excursion during our stay. The Catamaran all day snorkeling and sightseeing adventure was great. You don't have to have much experience with snorkeling to enjoy this excursion. They do include open bar, and a tasty lunch was provided.
The other daily excursion I wish we'd have gone on was the chocolate / rum excursion. The people we talked to who went on this said they enjoyed it.
The food at this resort is very good and offers many different options.
We ate at basically every restaurant at La Toc (with the exception of the Sushi restaurant Soy).
We took the inter-resort shuttle service to the Halycon resort to eat at Kelly's Dockside. The best dinner's we had we at: Kelly's Dockside. Pitons, The Japanese Steakhouse Kimonos were also very good. The pizza at Bella Napoli made for a great lunch or afternoon snack.
Of course, The Pavillion is the "go-to" place for breakfast and lunches.
Part of being at an "all-inclusive" resort is the open bar and Sandals doesn't skimp here. You can enjoy your favorite cocktail or one of the daily concoctions that are outstanding. My personal favorites were: Dirty Banana and the Island Smile. :)
Cons:
Have to say we had to call housekeeping a few times. They missed changing our bedding and forgot to re-stock towels on more than one occasion. They were quick to remedy the situation.
From the pool / Pavillion level to the door of our suite you had to climb 94 steps.
If anyone has any issue with a bad knee or hip, or not in good shape, this would be a huge concern.
Our suite was nice but it's small. The view from our balcony was amazing, however.
Yes, as others have noted, the rooms are dated and could use updating.
Over-all: I'd recommend this Sandals Resort as long as you don't have any health issues that preclude you from going up lots of stairs.Written February 23, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not my kind of art or sculptures but I can appreciate the work that has gone into making them. They have some large pieces down to more reasonable sized ones.
There is also a small shop selling beverages.
I had plenty of time to look round and did not buy anything.
Not sure I would go back again, but if you like the art work you probably would return.Written August 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I wouldn't suggest going on foot as it's a steep climb up.
By car it's around 5 to 10 min. Views are really great - you see the capital, surrounding hills and the port beneath you.
Beware, it can be pretty crowded and difficult to park when cruisers are in the port.Written February 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - ModernWanderersFairfield, CT2,535 contributionsPointe Seraphine was the base for our 10-hour cruise stop in St Lucia … we got off the ship for a brief wander around before we headed off on a water-based excursion.
Typical touristy cruise port with numerous shops selling decently-priced souvenirs. Vendors who didn’t hassle us. Strong WiFi (free), which you can’t always find at all cruise ports these days (so do take advantage of it if you need it!). Clean toilets with plenty of toilet paper. Mae sure to check out the large and very colorful SAINT LUCIA sign, which can easily be missed!
There’s a large construction site currently behind the port … I’m curious to know what is being built.Written December 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not too far to walk from the cruise terminal and one of the places my wife and I always stop off at when in the area. Nice place to chill and access the free WiFi.Written March 6, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- David DDevon, UK29,006 contributionsSunday 12th April and we visited here, as we were booked on the "Tranopy Ultimate Three" Tour. This included a ride in the Aerial Tram, above the canopy, a trek through the rain forest, finally zip wiring through the trees.
Throughout the Tour our Guide provided us with information and facts about the trees and the birds and other creatures that dwell in the forest. There was also lots of very vibrant coloured bushes and plants.
The Forest Reserve is part of Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Canopy which is a network of forest conservation initiatives, involving all 53 countries of the Commonwealth. This Forest was designated, on 25th November 2016, as St Lucia's gift to the Canopy.
Additionally, the Reserve promotes and educates visitors about the importance of the rainforest and the protection of the ecosystem, preserving it for the earth and future generations.
