What travellers are saying
- Abby G5 contributionsThis was on my bucket list and was beyond amazing! The slides that take you through the shark tank were so cool! The rapid river was relaxing and fun! The pools were nice, clean and warm. 1000% recommend!Written May 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Keith G.Cheshire, CT275 contributionsOn our first family vacation in a few years, we decided to goto Baha Mar, and it did not disappoint. The entire resort is located on the beach, which was perfect. You do have to start early to get a good chair, but that's it. Many attendants on beach to help. Water is nice (cold) and only issue is the seaweed.
Overall great beach!Written December 29, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Erica N1 contributionDay trip to blue lagoon island with sea lion experience and royal dolphin swim. Beautiful island, amazing trainers and courteous staff. We had a wonderful and memorable experience that exceeded expectations. My only complaint was that the excursion needed to be longer - we didn’t have time to really explore or enjoy the island because of our scheduled time with sea lion and dolphins. Maybe next time!Written May 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sue S1 contributionInteresting historical spot. Pushy, but informative, self-appointed tour guide that works off tips. Don’t walk there- possibly unsafe- take a tour bus.Written May 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Chantal M7 contributionsThis is a beautiful site to visit. My husband and I rented a moped for the day and drove here from our Riu resort. Gorgeous drive along the coast. We paid for a guided walking tour. $22 ea. It lasted an hour. Our guide Vernita/Bernita (not sure) was so knowledgeable and shared many historical facts with us about the various civilizations that have inhabited the Bahamas. We visited many ruins and even tasted the Tamarind fruit from a tree along the way. Great way to spend half a day.Written May 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 387indyCoral Springs, FL4,745 contributionsArdastra Gardens & Wildife Conservation is inexpensive very beautiful, lots of animals & birds. Well maintained exhibit.Written February 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jared HScenery Hill, PA151 contributionsVisited here while on a cruise, it is very nice. I would not recommend for families with kids the surf here is quite rough. Also be prepared to have lots of people approach you to buy things, they are persistent! Also highly recommend taking a taxi as it is a 3.5 mile walk from the cruise terminal! The beach here was beautiful, you could not ask for a more beautiful place!Written April 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lrobertswHalifax, Canada98 contributionsNot a bad way to spend an hour or so. Some of the exhibits were so realistic looking. Learned alot about pirates!Written April 28, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kim S3 contributionsLoved this resort. It is beautiful and very friendly to people not staying at the resort. It is very expensive.Written March 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- atlanta1984Los Angeles, CA146 contributionsI have mixed feelings about this beach. I absolutely loved the party vibes and thought $40 was reasonable for the two chairs and the umbrella. What kind of killed the mood was the guy who kept telling us, "Don't forget to tip yo boy." The thing is, we don't like carrying cash into areas like this because it's dangerous. I assumed most local touristy places accept credit or debit, but no, most places here demand cash. However, even if I had the cash readily available, it's not comfortable to be reminded every few minutes to tip. Other than that, I loved the fun loud music and being able to drink at the beach. You can't do that where I'm from (Southern California).
The ocean is beautiful and enjoyed the sights walking back to the ship. It was a bit scary when I separated from my husband for a bit, I immediately ran into a strange local guy who insisted on walking with me. I would not feel safe coming here alone. However, in a group it's a lot of fun.Written May 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - P JayNorth Carolina Mountains, NC695 contributionsThe Straw Market is nothing you haven't visited in other ports if you've cruised before and hit those ports. The only difference is that it's shaded.Written March 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PaleflierLiphook, UK350 contributionsPicturesque, unspoilt, litter free and wonderful for a stroll. It was almost deserted on the Wednesday morning that we visited, with just two other cars in the car park. Well worth a visitWritten April 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gina BNew York City, NY8 contributionsThis museum is located in the original enslaved-persons auction house on the main strip in downtown Nassau. It was very educational and a must-see. That said, this museum could use an update to make it more accessible to children and teens, with more interactive exhibits, more artifacts, docents, and a clearer, easier to follow timeline. Also, there's no public restroom on the premises.Written April 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jeff KNaples, FL830 contributionsNice piece of History. Great view of harbour and local islands. Parking is easy. Not long walk from parking. Nice history exhibits.Written December 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- beth ann kHalstead, KS1,450 contributionsThis is a REALLY busy street with touristy shops and restaurants. There is a small straw market just off of it, toward the cruise port. Lots of lots of empty storefronts, though.Written November 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
