What travellers are saying
- April_PDXPortland, OR11 contributionsGorgeous. Got there around 7:40 and no problem getting in. Even got a palapa. Didn’t stay long. Be warned that there were a ton of mosquitoes when we went (late Feb).Written March 1, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heather P4 contributionsThe guide was amazing! He not only educated us on the area and seals but he took time to answer everyone’s questions. They also took time to stop when they heard that there was other wildlife in the area that we could experience! I highly recommend them!! ❤️Written December 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robert A4 contributionsWe have been to Cabo so many times we thought we would take the drive to La Paz. I booked a room at a really nice b&b, Casa Juarez, knowing we would stay the night. We were so presently surprised when we got there. We stayed around the Malicon, which is a long boardwalk along the beach. There are so many nice restaurants and bars to choose from. We had dinner at Casamarte. Amazing food and atmosphere. Went to Tortuga beach before dinner and watched the sunset, which was amazing. What I noticed most besides not a lot of Americans compared to Cabo, was the prices at the restaurants were half of the cost of Cabo, and the quality of the food was exceptional. We will definitely go back for a longer stay.Written July 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RoosterFish43Cleveland, OH31 contributionsNice beach, closer and less crowded than the other beaches. We went to this beach on our last day in La Paz. Definitely worth checking out if you have multiple days in La Paz to explore different beaches. We were there on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. There are two beach shacks to get food and drinks if you don’t want to bring them. There is also chair and lounger rentals. There is a place to rent kayaks at the end of the beach but was not opened when we stopped by.Written January 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tkdesAirdrie, Canada162 contributionsWe travelled from Cabo to La Paz to try to experience some of the beaches they had to offer. We spent about 4 hours here on a Tuesday afternoon and the beach was about 1/2 full.
The sand was soft up until you got right to the edge of the water where the sand turned into smaller pieces of broken shells and wasn't quite as soft. Bring water shoes if you're sensitive. There are also rocks within the sand on the shoreline and in the water. There were many small shells to find but many of the bigger ones were already broken due to the rocks.
The water was warmer than that near Cabo by a bit and still a bit wavy but fine for my kids to swim in. The beach had quite a bit of broken glass and other garbage on it that was super disappointing to see. My kids and I cleaned up a ton while we were there but there was still a large amount when we left. There were a dozen or so huge pelicans that hung out while we were there who put on quite a show dive bombing for fish.
There are tables and chairs that you can pay to sit at and free palapas that anyone could use for shade. The staff spoke little to no English but if you ordered food/drink to the beach, you could use the tables and chairs under the palapas for "free".
The bathrooms are clean and have outside showers, soap for handwashing and toilet paper/paper towel.
We didn't go to any, but there were many places behind the beach that you could get coffee, meals, snacks and drinks at.Written January 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Just contemplating how beautiful this place is.
Make sure to get.there as early as possible to avoid crowds. (It's not as crowded as Maya Bay I'm Thailand and way more beautiful).
This beach is as close as it gets to Maldives, where I've been twice.

- vdubbyavdubbyaSan Diego, CA2 contributionsIt was open, Wednesday noon and we travelled throughout all 3 floors. There were little QR codes to scan for English translations on the exhibits. For those where QR codes were not available, I used Microsoft Translator, which worked well. I recommend this as an hour of your visit if you want to learn about Baja California, and the human experience.Written October 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jquixoteSan Diego, CA57 contributionsTook the bus from town. 30 min ride. Beautiful beach with a few places that offer food, drink, and jet skis etc. However, beware the "agua mala" which are microscopic jellyfish that stung me while I went out snorkeling enough to make my snorkeling experience unpleasant and left me itching for days.Written November 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shorty BOttawa, Canada184 contributionsEasy enough to get to and, while not huge, large enough to enjoy without feeling crowded on a midweek visit. Weekends are different as more families come to enjoy the beach.
