We saw whales and dolphins on our way out to the islands, then snorkeled at the sea lion colony. We had a delicious lunch on a private beach, then saw a frigate bird nesting area on the way back. - JillNODStillwater, OK6 contributionsOur guide, who is a local artist (forgot his name, SO SORRY!) was wonderful! He did an excellent job! As we walked between eateries , he would explain the history of the area, identify several murals and talked about the other local artists who created them and taught us about local vegetation. The food was delicious! His knowledge was interesting and informative! The walk around town was very pleasant and necessary to help process food between stops. I HIGHLY recommend this food tour!

I appreciate her efforts to partner with the local fishing community to protect them and create ecotourism as a viable alternative to overfishing. This private tour was very relaxing as Juan took care of all the details. We arrived at Balandra beach and he obtained one of the best shady spots on the beach. With Sergio, I learned about the amazing mangrove system as well as the bird life and it was magic to kayak carefully in peace through the winding mangroves. With Danny, we took a challenging hike (I lost the sole of my Teva) by a rocky shore as he pointed out sea cucumbers (some with hermit crabs atop) as well as cacti and a hardy fig tree hanging on the cliff. Although the snorkel adventure was cancelled due to a medical emergency by one of the guests, I thoroughly enjoyed our time on Tecolote beach as Sergio and Danny answered our questions and shared their stories as experts in marine biology. Balandra was beautiful and we really enjoyed LaPaz. I felt like I was in a movie. I highly recommend this tour with David. - Fearless2751421 contributionWe really enjoyed it. Our host Ana was great as was our captain. It is a full day from 11-5 on the boat. Get to see so much. We saw dolphin on the way out and humpback whales on the way back. Had a spectacular lunch on a small beach. Got to see tons of marine life and spend some time at secluded beaches – will absolutely book again next time I am in La Paz.
