- Barb18 contributionsBeautiful collection of Mexican art and crafts and also works from around the world displayed in Brady’s home. Placards in English and Spanish show provenance of items. - Sarah B2 contributionsI just returned from an amazing one week trip to Oaxaca organized by the Spanish Language Institute. It was fantastic from beginning to end. We had morning language classes and went on wonderful excursions everyday to villages where you can see the wonderful crafts with hands-on learning. We also visited the amazing archeological sites in the area and had a day of Oaxacan cooking classes. The teachers and guide were all so friendly, informed and fun!! A good time was had by all!!!Written November 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bairbre NDublin, Ireland36 contributionsThis amazing site is about 38 kms from Cuernavaca. It was first occupied in 200BC but developed into an urban centre between AD 700-900. At its peak it is believed to have had a population of 20000 people. It features a temple and pyramids and ball courts and an observatory.Written January 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barb18 contributionsGreat site which included archeological artifacts and historical contexts of Mexican history with great descriptions. QR code provided additional information. Wonderful Diego Rivera murals on second floor should not be missed. Visit and see!Written August 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MomchelleCroton on Hudson, NY47 contributionsMy two week immersion course at Anders Cuernavaca could not have been better! The experience was fantastic on all levels. The room I had was a great value and the house is lovely. The four teachers who worked with me were excellent: Ulises, Jerson, Esther and Rosaura were focused and also very entertaining! Raul is a talented manager. Norma, the chef, prepared scrumptious meals. The excursions were well planned and delightful. I have already recommended this experience to multiple family members and friends and I hope to return.Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barbara GSanta Barbara, CA186 contributionsA must see/stroll through the “lung” of Cuernavaca. Fresh, green, delightful respite in the heart of the city. Buy there or bring your own picnic. Sit for hours or stroll for clean, unencumbered exercise.Written April 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bairbre NDublin, Ireland36 contributionsWe visited this cathedral and were lucky to receive a guided tour form a local historian. It's a remarkable building and the frescoes tell a tale of missionaries form Cuernavaca led by St. Félipe who were crucified in Japan. There was a Mass on Sunday with a bishop and six priests and a beautiful choir. The natural light streaming through the stained glass windows and an abundance of incense made it quite etherealWritten January 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marc DChelsea, Canada65 contributionsThe gardens have been closed for reparations since the last earthquake but expect to be open again in March 2019. Check before going. Then note that address has been confused. Matamoros, mentioned in the TripAdvisor by listing, is in the Centro; in fact, the Jardin and museo are located on Mariano Matamoros in a nearby suburban neighborhood of Acapatzingo.Written February 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lance HBoerne, TX1,280 contributionsThis was quite enjoyable and included on our tour. If it hadn't been included, I'm not sure if I would have paid to get in, but I would have been wrong! There's a lot of history here as well as the relaxing nature of the gardens. Worth a visit if you are already nearby.Written February 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HarveyAntigua, Guatemala33 contributionsWe did not get to visit here as the Museum was closed due to the earthquake there was no indication as to when it would reopen so the number of stars that we've given this is totally irrelevantWritten October 27, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barb18 contributionsSmall archeological site. Nothing novel if you’ve been to other sites. It is a quick visit in the middle of a residential area. You can skip this without missing much but it’s always fun to wander by ruins.Written August 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ErikaCaracas, Venezuela9,856 contributionsWide big plaza. Nice to walk by. There are a lot of locals just resting and relaxing. You can see pieces of art.Written November 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
