Went here on our first Caribbean vacation. Definitely something I'll be looking forward to doing again. Leo and Alberto made our experience that much better. They look after us the whole time and took very good care of us. Paradise island is absolutely beautiful šŸ˜

Swam out to the reef with a guide, snorkeled along the reef and saw sponges, corals, fish and a forest of
Purple sea fans! Guide named Willie was excellent!

We had a great day! Started with an amazing manatee interaction. There are so many palapas with chairs under providing shade. We walked to the last set of stairs and there is a beautiful coral head right at the bottom of the stairs and to the right. The snorkeling was gorgeous. Even my 78-year-old mother felt comfortable snorkeling here. Be sure to wear water shoes.

Whatā€™s that saying - when one door closes, another opens? When we cruise, weā€™ve always just gone to another beach club, paid the admission and paid cash for a bit of food and called it a day. This year, that clubs website said that if you didnā€™t reserve an all inclusive, you ran the risk of them selling out and not admitting you as a cash pay. While I hemmed and hawed, they filled up on all inclusive reservations too! I looked around, saw this club and saw that they were full too! (There were 8 ships scheduled in port that day.). I emailed several clubs, hoping for a wait list or a cancellation and Mr Sanchos replied that they had recently opened their casitas - a higher end and more expensive product, but one with availability on my date. Seeing no other options, I bit the bullet and paid, regretting that my procrastination cost me the ability to book an all inclusive day for half that

Well, this was a blessing in disguise. Our day was AMAZING!!!!! We would absolutely book the casitas again in the future. We would book a cruise with a Cozumel stop solely to get to come here again. In was that good. The service was insanely attentive. Every time you turned around someone was asking if you needed more to drink or eat. I regret that I canā€™t call out any particular server for praise because there were several and they were all awesome. The food was top notch. The drinks were great! The private casita was amazing. We had plenty of comfortable space, reserved chairs at the water front, umbrellas and towels. It was calm, peaceful and not crowded which was a contrast to the regular part of the club which was busier.

We absolutely loved this. Highly recommend!

Its they place we go anytime that we go to Cozumel, we normally know in advance, and the pricing is much better than stopping in without early reservation (30% more) Water is always great at the beach, and the pool areas are a great place to relax later in the day. WE dont really drink that much, so buying an all-inclusive is not really a need, but you will have less personal attention with the blue arm band over the pink one.
It was just us making a change in plans, and going there left a little bad taste in our mouth...but it wont stop us from going back,,

My wife and I, plus two adult children and a girlfriend, took this excursion when visiting on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. I cannot say enough positive things about this experience. It is not a tour sold by the cruise line and it shows. It is for a very limited number of people and the experience is very personal. If you want to experience the Caribbean in a non cattle call away, this is the tour to take. The owner Poncho led the tour and he was assisted by Maria. They both were very professional and we never felt rushed. The snorkeling was fun, learning about the Pearl Farm was educational as well as fun, and Pancho makes a great cheeseburger! It's not the cheapest tour in the book, but the money is well spent. Even the boat ride to and from the Pearl Farm was fun, and gave you a real feel for the surroundings. We would highly recommend this tour.

We had hoped to see a large Mayan temple, but we didn't. So, if you are looking for an excursion to see that, this is not the one. What you do see, however, is a great Mayan ruin of a once thriving society. The tour guide, Israel, was nice but very verbose. He shared all the information he had at every stop, but people ended up ignoring him. After the tour, we went to the beach. Be warned, this is a tourist money trap where they only accept cash! Bring about $100 per person for lunch, beach chairs, and umbrellas. The beach is Chen Rio, so you can look it up on a map to see where they are taking you. The tour bus driver was nice though, so I gave it a 4 because the beach was actually nice for the 90 minutes we had on it and the ruin site was very educational. Enjoy the experience.

Three of us enjoyed a private tour with Christopher of VIPToursand Transfers on a beautiful windy day. After gaining admission to the Park, cars follow a bumpy white packed-sand road through the natural area along the gorgeous rough water coastline. Along the way, we saw iguanas and native animals that look like a raccoon with a monkey's tail and pretty foliage. Next to the road, as you reach the lagoon, is a small but interesting Mayan ruin that served to alert them to bad weather and to track the equinox. The lagoon is a large expanse of brackish water with varied plant and wildlife- thereā€™s a short wooden walkway over the shallow area to view fish and birds (we saw flamingos) and crocodiles (a baby and an adult). You can also climb a wooden observation tower for lovely views of both the lagoon area and turquoise coastline. Further down the road is a beach area with the lighthouse and its museum and bathrooms and a small open-air shop. The lighthouse is fun to climb but strenuous - 143 steps- to a beautiful 360 degree view. Be aware that when you reach the top, there is a fairly small opening that you must basically crawl through to step out onto the platform. The museum provides info about the various lighthouse structures that predated the current one and some history of the park. Continuing down the road, it ends at a couple rustic, friendly beach clubs. We had the best meal of our vacation at the open-air shaded restaurantā€¦ ceviche, quesadillas, tacos, and cold beer. Very fresh and delicious! The sweet resident raccoon came out to the tables a couple of times to shyly ask for a nibble. The soft white sand beach is spacious with lounge chairs, hammocks, and gorgeous turquoise water to swim in. The day we visited was unusually windy so we chose not to snorkel, but equipment can be requested. Massages and some souvenirs are available, but the vendors donā€™t approach unless guests express interest. We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out here for a couple of hours. The Eco Park is a refreshingly undeveloped preserve - we had considered going to a commercial beach club for the day, but the different things we experienced at Punta Sur made for a much better day and understanding of Cozumel.

Great place to snorkel, take some pictures. You must go there at least once in your life. When you stay there, remember how lucky you are!
