Zipped out of Quebec City where we were staying for a few days and beheld the fall colors spread across the sloped of Mt. St. Anne nearby. Good facility and fast lift to the top so you could 'walk' down. Unfortunately, whomever advertised this descent a a hike, thereby implying that there were actual 'trails, was not aware of what it takes to build a real trail for public use. Beautiful though it was, descending a ski slope when there is no snow essentially involves walking down either an eroded dirt slide path or an uneven grassy side. Either case, it is a bit hard to do, particularly if your knees are not young. Though we enjoyed the autumn ambience, the ski hills idea of a 'trail' is inaccurate as those scratches in the dirt bear no resemblance to real trails in parks. Those who are not youthful, beware. We would go back but, this time, we would make sure we have our pairs of walking poles for balance.
