What travellers are saying
- FlatlanderUSManhattan, KS625 contributionsAwesome beaches, sand and restaurants. We love going to Isla Ixtapa each trip. Many great restaurants to choose from. The one downfall (and it's a big one)... there is no cold beer anywhere. They don't have power, they have ice and they don't use enough ice to cool down beef past "cool" temp and sometimes borderline warm beer. If you find a spot, order a beer and it's "cold", you found the perfect spot!!!Written July 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ugo CReykjavik, Iceland751 contributionsThe waves were big and the surge strong when we went for a swim on this beach. We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves, thoughWritten November 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ugo CReykjavik, Iceland751 contributionsWe had a great time here. We walked all through the beach and swam a little bit. The sea was rough as a tropical storm had just passed, but it was enjoyable all the sameWritten November 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - emilysresortsdotcomNewark, CA89 contributionsNice and quiet location as we’re staying at Club Med Ixtapa so it’s primarily just resort guests on the beach. Aside from beach volleyball organized by Club Med’s GOs, there’s not a lot going on.
Just find a spot, lay out, close your eyes, relax and enjoy the sound of the crashing waves.Written August 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We road to Playa Linda and enjoy the shaded part through the jungle and got to see the crocodiles. Highly recommend!Written February 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Elaine V.San Francisco, CA4 contributionsFamily friendly, if you snorkeled before best to come in AM before it gets busy. One can easily bring their in gear & no need to book a tour, if you prefer.
There is no shower on island to rinse off so plan accordingly.Written August 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is near an hour of petting ,watching and swimming with the dolphins. Very nice. The place is pricey because it is unque . They do not allow you to photograph your loved ones with the dolphins because they want to sell you pictures.Written December 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. but that is the beauty of it. No vendors, beach waiters and fun waves if you dare.

- Concepción NUruapan, Mexico5 contributionsif you expect seaworld like scenes this is not for you.
a few slides and pools is what it is. A practical location within walking distance from almost every hotel in Ixtapa, inexpensive food, not fancy but decent and clean, gerat place for a day with children around. enjoyed once in our stayWritten November 9, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Fernando GarridoMexico City, Mexico7 contributionsWe are avid golfers ... and when going on vacations Golf Clubs are a part of our luggage.
We heard about this course and was only 10min away from our hotel, always a great option when wanting to come back quickly.
The Course was pretty bang up after the Quake in 2017 ... and this has taken a toll on its once beautiful fairways and challenging sand traps. The last ones are non existing now, so grass has replaced the sand. The course its pretty challenging and a tough one at parts, this makes it a cool one to do, but you feel left out of the full experience when you have to Winter Rule your ball at almost every two or three holes. But still for the price and closeness ... and if you are not an demanding golfer ... then you are good to go in it ... just remember to bring cheap or second hand balls ... cause well ... I lost over 12 new balls in the course of 3 days.Written April 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
